I'm sure someone will talk now that LE has some bargaining power. Wonder who will trade info for a "deal" on the drug charges. 25 years is a long time.

Aww, why are they picking on poor Ronald, don't they know he needs those drugs to deal
with the fact his daughter is missing? Poor Ronald just worships his kids and would never do anything
wrong! PUKE! Hang 'em all--nothing but white trash, inbred losers!!
Um, will children services FINALLY, remove the little boy or, are they gonna wait until he comes up missing too????

Re: HALEIGH CUMMINGS - 5 yo - Satsuma FL - The Beginning
With half a dozen TV news cameras pointed her way, Misty Croslin
bowed her head and sat quietly -- save for a few sniffles -- as she
waited for the judge.
Over the past 345 days, the mousy, petite 18-year-old has become
accustomed to being in the spotlight, though it might have been the
brightest yet Thursday.
With shackles around her dainty wrists and legs, Croslin was led
into a sterile room at the St. Johns County jail where she appeared
before a judge via closed-circuit television, and members of the media.
By Thursday evening, the story of her and her ex-husband's arrests
was being discussed at length on the Headline News channel, alongside
Brittany Murphy's death and Tiger Woods' infidelities.
After telling her that her bond had been set at $950,000, County
Judge Charles J. Tinlin asked, "What do you do for a living, ma'am?"
"Nothing," she replied.
"I'm sorry?"
"Nothing."
"How do you support yourself?"
"My mom and my dad."
At about 3 a.m. on Feb. 10, Croslin called police to say she woke up
and found that her then-boyfriend's 5-year-old daughter was missing.
She said she put HaLeigh and her boyfriend's other child to bed at
about 10 p.m., and that was the last anyone has seen the girl.
After a day, national media outlets began to take interest in the case.
A few months later, Croslin, then 17, and Ronald Cummings, 26, were married.
After a few months, the two divorced.
Off and on, Croslin, Cummings and other members of their families
have had run-ins with police, but none has had to do with the
disappearance of the little blonde whom the world knows as a smiling
child mugging for photographs.
With every arrest or allegation, stories were printed and cameras
reappeared, giving police all the more publicity in their quest for
HaLeigh.
But, in the 11-plus months since her disappearance, there has been
little progress, at least in the public eye. On Thursday, the eye
reopened.
Croslin's brother, Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, was also arrested and is facing one count of trafficking prescription drugs.
Before the hearing, a deputy briefly brought him into the jail's mini-courtroom before leading him back out.
"I don't really like having all these people taking my pictures, man," Hank Croslin told the deputy.
"You don't have a choice," the deputy said. "You're out of choices."

Haleigh Cummings' brother is now in the custody of his mother following the arrest of Ronald Cummings.
"He's already gone," Annette Sykes, paternal grandmother of Haleigh, said
Friday afternoon. "It's really hard with his daddy gone to let him go.
He has been with us all of his life."
The state Department of Children and Family Services confirmed Friday that Junior was taken
into the custody of his mother, Crystal Sheffield, as decided by the
judge.
"The first priority of DCF is the safety of all children," John Harrell, a spokesman for DCF, said.
Haleigh was reported missing from her Satsuma home on Feb. 10, where she lived
with her younger brother, Ronald Junior, in the custody of Ronald
Cummings.
Cummings and the children's biological mother, Crystal Sheffield, have been estranged for several years.
Sheffield's former attorney, Kim Picazio, was glad to hear the news.
"It looks like the amount of bond will keep Ronald in jail for a while, so
naturally the child would go to the biological mother in this case,"
Picazio said. "It is definitely the safest place for Junior."
Cummings was jailed Wednesday evening along with Haleigh's former stepmother,
Misty Croslin; her brother, Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr.; Cummings' cousin,
Hope Sykes; and former Equusearch volunteer Donna Brock.
The five were arrested following a month-long narcotics investigation that
involved the trafficking of Hydrocodone and Oxycodone within St. Johns
and Putnam counties.
Street value of the drugs was estimated at $3,900.
Sykes declined to comment as to whether she knew the drug trafficking was taking place.
"Right now we are just basically numb," Sykes said.
Arraignment is expected to take place in mid-February, Chris Kelly, State Attorney's Office spokesman, said.
Charges include:
* Misty Janette Croslin, 18, of Satsuma, charged with six counts of
trafficking in prescription medications. Bond was set at $950,000.
* Ronald L. Cummings, 26, of Satsuma, charged with three counts of
trafficking in prescription medications. Bond was set at $500,000.
* Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, of Satsuma, charged with one count of
trafficking in prescription medications. Bond was set at $100,000.
* Hope A. Sykes, 18, of Satsuma, charged with one count of trafficking in prescription medications. Bond was set at $150,000.
* Donna Brock, 43, of Orlando, charged with one count of trafficking in prescription medications. Bond was set at $250,000.

More details on Donna Brock's arrest
An Orlando woman who was with Misty Croslin during a road-rage incident in Lake Mary last year and was arrested with her during this week's prescription-drug bust in Putnam County was more than just a friend.
She was a paid informant for a national search group bent on one objective: finding out what happened to Satsuma 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings
when she disappeared. Croslin was baby-sitting the girl one evening in
early February when she said she woke up and found Haleigh missing.
Donna Brock was a volunteer member of Texas EquuSearch and part of
initial searches for Haleigh. Eventually she befriended Croslin.
That relationship and trips they took together were initially meant to
help investigators and searchers draw out Croslin and get her to tell
them where the child was, said Tim Miller, Texas EquuSearch's founder
and director.
The search group paid Brock about $3,000 to entertain Croslin and get her to open up, Miller said this week.
Paying someone to be an informant is not illegal. It is not clear
whether Putnam County investigators were aware of Brock's role with the
search group.
"They met each other when we were doing the search for Haleigh," Miller
said. "Misty trusted her and liked her." Later, Brock, 44, indicated
she could get Croslin, 18, to speak.
"Donna says, 'Tim, I think I can break her. I think I can find out what happened to Haleigh,''' Miller said.
That never happened. Haleigh's whereabouts remain a mystery. An investigation into her disappearance continues in Putnam County.
Brock's life took a sharp turn Wednesday when she was arrested on a
prescription-drug-trafficking charge along with Croslin. Ronald
Cummings, Haleigh's father and Croslin's ex-husband, and two others
also were arrested after a sting operation led by the Putnam County
Sheriff's Office.
Brock was held at the St. Johns County Jail on Friday on $250,000 bail, charged with trafficking in oxycodone. Croslin was held there too, on six trafficking charges, with bail set at $950,000.
Putnam officials have said the prescription-drug case and the continued
effort to determine what happened to Haleigh are separate
investigations. But they expressed hope the drug case will provide new
information about Haleigh's disappearance.
Croslin's relationship with Brock, who has a residence in Orlando and
one in North Carolina, could be an important link for investigators, or
her value in finding the child may be worthless.
"It started out she was trying to get information," Miller said.
Miller paid Brock several thousand dollars during a few months to take
Croslin places and to entertain her with the hope the young woman would
provide a better explanation of what happened the night Haleigh went
missing, he said.
Brock was with Croslin in early October when, according to Seminole County Sheriff's Office reports, they chased and harassed a driver on Interstate 4. The incident immediately gained media attention.
On Oct. 30, Miller sent Brock a letter terminating her membership with
Texas EquuSearch. He said he became concerned that her membership in
the search organization would undermine its credibility.
An undercover detective with the Putnam Sheriff's Office bought
prescription medications from Croslin's and Brock's group seven times
recently, officials said. They estimated the drugs' street value at
$3,900.
The arrests of Croslin, Cummings and the others is the latest chapter in a long, sad story surrounding Haleigh's disappearance.
The investigation has been marked by speculation, rumors and
unsuccessful searches in the largely rural stretches around Satsuma and
outside the nearby Ocala National Forest.
"The shame of it is all this stuff has taken the focus off of Haleigh," said Miller.

Re: HALEIGH CUMMINGS - 5 yo - Satsuma FL - The Beginning
In an interview with NBC’s “Today” this morning, Haleigh Cummings’ paternal grandmother said she suspects former daughter-in-law Misty Croslin is the key to finding the little girl.
“I believe, whether or not she realizes it, Misty is holding something that could possibly help Haleigh’s case,” Teresa Neves told NBC’s Ann Curry. “All the law enforcement have said she is the key to this. You have to figure that there’s something that she’s not telling.”
Neves said she didn’t know if Croslin is withholding information on purpose or subconsciously.
Croslin and her ex and Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings,
were arrested in a drug sting last week in Putnam County. They each
face multiple counts of trafficking charges and remain jailed.
But the main focus on “Today” was Haleigh, who has been missing
nearly a year. Grandmother Neves said she didn’t believe Croslin had
done anything to hurt the 5-year-old girl.
“It has been a very hard year,” Neves said. The grandmother
highlighted the challenge of keeping the child’s face in the media
spotlight. Neves spoke to “Today” via satellite from Welaka.
“Haleigh has the most beautiful smile,” Neves said. “It lights up a room, and it warms your heart. And we just miss her smile.”

Haleigh Cummings' family speaks about recent drug arrests

Members from both sides of Haleigh’s family talk about their loved ones incarceration.
Four days after Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin were arrested on drug
trafficking charges, their families are talking about the experiences
they are having behind bars. Both Misty and Ronald have
been able to make phone calls to their loved ones, and both say they
are trying to keep in good spirits despite facing lengthy prison terms
for trafficking prescription pain pills.
A judge has reduced Misty
Croslin’s bond from $950,000 to $500,000. Misty’s family says even
though her bond has been reduced, they still can’t afford to bail her
out. Members of Misty’s family say Misty has contacted them a few times
by telephone for 4 or 5 minute clips. We are told Misty has done a lot
of crying on the phone, and has talked about going to Bible study while
being under incarceration.
Ronald Cummings, Haleigh Cummings’
father, is sitting in a Flagler County jail cell by himself. His
grandmother says he does have access to a telephone. She says Ronald
has contacted them a few times but mainly talks about the search for
Haleigh. Ronald’s grandmother also says visitation is only allowed once
a week on Wednesdays, and this Wednesday will be the first time his
mother will see him since he was locked away this past Thursday.
Haleigh’s Mother, Crystal Sheffield, has been granted emergency custody over
Haleigh’s little brother. She says a Putnam County Judge determined it
would be best that Ronnie Jr. stay with his mother while his father was
behind bars.
Misty Croslin, Misty’s brother Hank “Tommy” Croslin Jr. ,
Ronald Cummings, Ronald’s cousin Hope Sykes, and a woman named Donna
Brock all face drug trafficking charges for the illegal sale and
possession of oxycodone and hydrocodone. If convicted, Ronald, Misty
and Donna could face mandatory minimum sentences of 25 years in prison.

toetag wrote:TomTerrific0420 wrote:An Orlando woman who was with Misty Croslin during a road-rage incident in Lake Mary last year and was arrested with her during this week's prescription-drug bust in Putnam County was more than just a friend.

Members from both sides of Haleigh’s family talk about their loved ones incarceration. Four
days after Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin were arrested on drug
trafficking charges, their families are talking about the experiences
they are having behind bars. Both Misty and Ronald
have been able to make phone calls to their loved ones, and both say
they are trying to keep in good spirits despite facing lengthy prison
terms for trafficking prescription pain pills. A judge has
reduced Misty Croslin’s bond from $950,000 to $500,000. Misty’s family
says even though her bond has been reduced, they still can’t afford to
bail her out. Members of Misty’s family say Misty has contacted them a
few times by telephone for 4 or 5 minute clips. We are told Misty has
done a lot of crying on the phone, and has talked about going to Bible
study while being under incarceration. Ronald Cummings, Haleigh
Cummings’ father, is sitting in a Flagler County jail cell by himself.
His grandmother says he does have access to a telephone. She says
Ronald has contacted them a few times but mainly talks about the search
for Haleigh. Ronald’s grandmother also says visitation is only allowed
once a week on Wednesdays, and this Wednesday will be the first time
his mother will see him since he was locked away this past Thursday. Haleigh’s
Mother, Crystal Sheffield, has been granted emergency custody over
Haleigh’s little brother. She says a Putnam County Judge determined it
would be best that Ronnie Jr. stay with his mother while his father was
behind bars. Misty Croslin, Misty’s brother Hank “Tommy” Croslin Jr.
, Ronald Cummings, Ronald’s cousin Hope Sykes, and a woman named Donna
Brock all face drug trafficking charges for the illegal sale and
possession of oxycodone and hydrocodone. If convicted, Ronald, Misty
and Donna could face mandatory minimum sentences of 25 years in prison.

"He's doing the best he can…that isolation is what makes him craziest," said Theresa Neves, Ronald Cummings mother. Neves
is talking about his son Ronald's recent arrest. He, his ex-wife
Misty, her brother, Hank Tommy Croslin Jr., and two others were all
taken into custody last week on drug trafficking charges for selling
and possessing pain pills. "He said he read a 376 page book from
three in the morning until three in the afternoon. So he's doing a lot
of reading, a lot of Bible study," said Neves. Theresa says
Ronald is in a jail cell alone, in protective custody. He has a cot and
a toilet in his room. The lights in his cell stay on all day and all
night, so Theresa says Ron has been forced to sleep under his cot to
try and get out of the light. "I think one day, he called eight times. He was pretty lonely that day, I guess," said Neves. Theresa
spoke at length about Ronald's arrest for trafficking prescription
drugs. She says the two have barely spoken about the arrest, but they
have talked a little bit about it. "Putnam County's thing is
that Misty's been the key to this. They couldn't bring her in, they
couldn't hold her. Shes in there now, and I hope they can hold her,"
said Neves. Theresa spoke at length about how her view of Misty Cummings
changed. At first, she defended her former daughter-in-law for months,
saying shes told all she knew about Haleigh's disappearance. During our
interview, Theresa says now shes not sure. "The first four
months I knew Misty, I thought the kids were her number one priority.
They loved her. Just the changes Ive seen in the past few months are
unreal to me that anybody can be that day and night," said Neves. "I've
never seen her high, never heard of her high, but now that's all you
hear…doing things just cant imagine anyone her age can do, " said
Neves. "She's definitely not who I think she was. She has made a
complete disaster of her life in the past few months," Neves added. Neves says everyday she writes in a diary she bought for Haleigh
. Everyday she changes the colors in the pad and saves it. She says all
she has left to remember Haleigh by are those notes, the memories, and
pictures. She says shes hoping whenever Ronald is allowed to come home,
Haleigh will be there to welcome him.

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- After a one-hour jail house visit with her
son, Ronald Cummings' mother left the Flagler County Jail Wednesday
afternoon.
"I started crying the minute I saw him. He did okay until we started talking about Junior," said Teresa Neves said.
She was referring to Ronald Jr., Cummings' son.
Neves said their conversation then turned to her missing
granddaughter, Haleigh. The little girl disappeared from her father's
Satsuma home in February 2009 while Misty Croslin was watching her.
"He just bawled when we started talking about Haleigh, but he feels like this may bring her home," she said.
Last week, Cummings was arrested
along with Misty Croslin, his ex-wife, on drug trafficking charges.
Misty Croslin is in the St. Johns County jail on a $950,000 bond.
Neves talked about the investigators' belief that Misty Croslin knows more about Haleigh's disappearance than she's saying.
"[Ronald] feels like they're so certain that Misty knows something
and that Misty is going to say something while she's in there. He feels
like if there's anything she does know, then she's going to tell it,"
Neves explained.
She said Misty Croslin may reveal more now than what her son was able to get out of her.
"He tried. He's only been hanging around her for two or three weeks,
trying to befriend her, find out what he could - and this is what
happened," Neves said. "It's like he said, if it brings Haleigh home,
it's all worth it."
Meanwhile, Cummings sits in a solitary confinement jail cell while
his daughter's photo is still posted on his mother's car window,
begging for help.

Ronald Cummings, the father of missing child Haleigh Cummings,
was moved out of Flagler County to the Putnam County Jail on Friday
morning.
"The investigators on the narcotics case no longer have
reason to keep him segregated," Lt. Johnny Greenwood, spokesman for the
Putnam County Sheriff's Office, said. "All the trafficking charges were
in Putnam County, so the proper place to have him is our jail."
Cummings,
26, faces three counts of trafficking in prescription medications after
a monthlong drug investigation revealed he and four others - including
his former wife, Misty Croslin - were dealing in Oxycodone and
Hydrocodone pills, the sheriff's office reported.
Cummings was
taken to the Flagler County Jail while narcotics investigators
questioned the five in relation to the drug charges, Greenwood said.
Greenwood said Cummings' bond will remain at $500,000.
Misty
Croslin, 18, faces six counts of trafficking in medications, and is
being held in the St. Johns County Jail on a bond of $950,000.
Other involved include her brother, Hank Croslin Jr, 23, of Satsuma, Donna Brock, 43, of Orlando and Hope Sykes, 18, of Satsuma.
All are being held in St. Johns County with the exception of Sykes and Cummings.
Officials from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement have said that the drug arrests are not related to the Haleigh case.
Haleigh was reported missing by Croslin at 3:27 a.m. the morning of Feb. 10, and no sign of the 5-year-old has been found.
Investigators have said they believe Croslin is the key to the investigation.

EXCLUSIVE: Misty Croslin Balked at Babysitting Haleigh!
By Art Harris, The Bald Truth, (c) www.artharris.com, all rights reserved
The Bald Truth has learned exclusive new details about Misty Croslin’s behaviour the night she reported her boyfriend’s five year old daughter missing from their trailer in Satsuma, Florida almost a year ago—that she had balked at babysitting Haleigh Cummings, and her little brother, JR, complaining she was just too exhausted after a three day binge of drugs and sex with party pals.
“She told me, ‘I didn’t want to even watch the kids that night because I was too tired from partying that weekend,’” her sister in law, Lindsay, told me in an exclusive interview Tuesday night that I broke on CNN HLN’s Nancy Grace Show.

LP officially puts bail bond offer on the table
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A well-known bounty hunter said he wants
to find Haleigh Cummings by getting Misty Croslin out of jail.
Leonard Padilla said he'll pay Croslin's bail to get her out.
"Given the situation, she might be forthcoming with information that
maybe she hasn't disclosed," said Padilla in a telephone interview.
He was referencing information about Haleigh Cummings, a little girl missing for a year now.
Haleigh disappeared from her father's Satsuma home in February 2009.
Misty Croslin was babysitting her and was the last one to see the
child.
Padilla said if he were to get Croslin out of the St. Johns County
jail and he started working with her attorney, she would tell Padilla
what she knows.
"I'm assuming that she wants to divulge further information that she
probably hasn't -- as of right now -- in order to locate the child,"
Padilla explained. "I think she has some stuff that either she has
given to law enforcement and they haven't given it up or she
has information that would lead to the child's return."
Padilla said he had the same motive with the Caylee Anthony case
in Orlando. He wanted to find the missing toddler.
The California-based bounty hunter paid to get Casey Anthony out of jail.
However, once she was out, she didn't talk to him.
Padilla said he believes the Haleigh Cummings case could be different.
"You know, I keep thinking as a result of whatever is going on in
Satsuma, that maybe the child is being held and somebody knows where
the child is. Obviously the person that would be able to start the ball
rolling is Misty," Padilla said.
However, due to new drug charges announced Wednesday,
Misty Croslin's bond was raised from $950,000 to $1,350,000.
Padilla said that would not be a problem. "It could still be worked out."
Padilla said he will get involved if Croslin's attorney asks him to do so.
Ultimately, Padilla said the goal is to find Haleigh, even if it
means paying a lot of money to get the last person to see her out of jail.

It seemed like old times as Los Angeles bounty hunter Leonard Padilla popped up on TV screens early Thursday.
Padilla became familiar to Central Florida during the Casey Anthony case, when he helped bond her out of jail nearly two years ago.
Padilla has turned his attention to the case of missing Haleigh Cummings. By phone at 6:30 a.m. today, Padilla talked to WOFL-Channel 35 about Misty Croslin, the last person to see the missing child.
“Possibly a deal can be worked to where we’re willing to put down a million, 350 in bail [for Croslin] in exchange for information that she has not so far given up” about the missing girl, Padilla told WOFL.
The next step is for Croslin’s attorney to contact him, Padilla said. “We can’t do anything that would violate his attorney-client privilege or destroy his relationship with Misty,” Padilla said.
WESH-Channel 2’s Jeff Lennox reminded viewers of Padilla’s hat and toothpick.
And what of the Cummings case?
“Padilla tells WESH 2 his conditions will be similar to the Casey Anthony bond, and either he or his people will get full access to Misty Croslin,” Lennox said.
WFTV-Channel 9 noted that more charges were being filed against Croslin and her ex-husband, Ronald Cummings, the father of Haleigh. They were arrested on prescription-drug-trafficking charges last month, and the new charges are related to undercover drug buys, anchor Vanessa Echols said.
Echols described Padilla as someone “you may remember from the Caylee Anthony case.”
For sure.
Padilla also talked to NBC’s “Today.”
“He believes if he gets her [Croslin] out, she will give him information about how to find Haleigh,” NBC’s Natalie Morales said.
Padilla said, “I think she’s got some stuff, either she’s given it to law enforcement and they haven’t given it up, or she has information that would lead to the child’s return.”
Padilla told Morales that he wants to work as an investigator for Croslin’s lawyers.

Former Casey Anthony bounty hunter offers to post Misty Croslin's bond
Former Casey Anthony bounty hunter offers to post Misty Croslin's bond
New charges related to sale of prescription narcotics were filed Wednesday against Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin.
By Bianca Prieto, Orlando Sentinel 2:27 p.m. EST, February 4, 2010
Excerpt:
A tearful Misty Croslin recently told her father she wants out of jail.
Now a figure from Casey Anthony's past has stepped from that high-profile case into this one with a get-out-jail card for Croslin —the last person to see missing Satsuma girl Haleigh Cummings.
But Leonard Padilla's offer comes with a catch: Croslin has to give the California bounty hunter information about Haleigh's whereabouts before he puts up the $135,000 to get her out of the St. Johns County Jail.
"I want her to talk first and then we'll go from there," Padilla said Thursday from California.

Re: HALEIGH CUMMINGS - 5 yo - Satsuma FL - The Beginning
Ok, so I just got off the phone with LP and he says....
He's not
bailing Misty until she talks, that Misty talking is one of the
conditions of him posting bail, and Casey was a different story and a
different sociopath. He also says that Satsuma is a different world,
everyone is on welfare and working the system, and you have to know how
to work that type. Nobody trusts anybody. He also said he doesn't think
Misty had anything to do with Haleigh's disappearance (what?) he said
Misty may have been gone, or screwing someone while Haleigh was taken.
He
was a little pissed that people only listened to the first line of the
story, and not the rest. He insisted he was not bailing Misty out until
she talked. That's all I know, folks.

Thanks Admin. I don't think she'll talk . . . . and I do think she had something to do with Haleigh's disappearance!

Re: HALEIGH CUMMINGS - 5 yo - Satsuma FL - The Beginning
Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin, two key players in the
disappearance almost a year ago of then-5-year-old Haleigh Cummings,
believe they are going to prison on drug charges, according to recently
released audio recordings made of the pair in jail.Ronald
Cummings, 26, is the father of Haleigh, who vanished on Feb. 10, 2009,
from her home in Satsuma in southeastern Putnam County while in the
care of Croslin, now 18. Croslin was Ronald Cummings' girlfriend at the
time. They later married and have since divorced.Croslin and
Ronald Cummings, along with three others, were arrested on Jan. 20 on
charges of trafficking prescription drugs including oxycodone and
hydrocodone.Additional trafficking charges were filed on
Wednesday against both in connection with the ongoing investigation,
bringing the total charges to eight against Croslin and five against
Ronald Cummings.Bond has been set at $1.35 million for Croslin,
who is being held in the St. Johns County jail, and $900,000 for Ronald
Cummings, who was moved on Jan. 29 to the Putnam County jail after
first being detained in the Flagler County jail.On Thursday, St.
Johns County released almost an hour's worth of redacted audio recorded
from Croslin's phone conversations with family. In one segment,
recorded at an unspecified date, Croslin can be heard telling a man she
addresses as her brother that she thinks she will be going to prison."You
know I'm going to be taking a ride, Timmy; I'm going to be going to
prison," Croslin says. "... Bub, I'm going to prison, I'm telling you.
... Eight trafficking charges.""How long you think you're going to do?" her brother asks."Probably
about 21 years. ... Tommy's going to prison, too," she says, possibly
referring to her other brother, Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, who was
charged with one count of trafficking in prescription medications in
connection with the January drug sting. Hank Croslin Jr. is being held
in the St. Johns County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond. "We're all going to prison," Misty Croslin says later in the phone call.In
a recording released earlier by the Flagler County jail, Ronald
Cummings could be heard reaching the same conclusion while talking with
a newspaper reporter."Oh, no, I'm going to DOC. I'm going to
prison. No if, ands or buts," he says in the recording made on Jan. 24.
"... I said, there's no if, ands or buts, I'm going to prison. ... Did
I put myself in a bad spot? Of course I did."If convicted on all
charges, Misty Croslin faces more than 74 years in prison and Ronald
Cummings more than 43 years, law enforcement sources have said.Palatka
attorney Robert Fields, who represents Misty Croslin, told The Sun on
Thursday that "the new developments are unfortunate. My goal is to do
what I can for Misty.""As her lawyer, it's not how I wanted to start my day," Fields added in regard to the release of the audio recordings. The
St. Johns County Sheriff's Office first released video recordings on
Wednesday that showed Misty Croslin talking with her parents, Hank
Croslin Sr. and Lisa Croslin, during recent jailhouse visits."Misty,
don't be lying about nothing because all it's going to do is bury you
deeper," Hank Croslin Sr. could be seen telling his daughter. "The
Haleigh stuff has got to come to an end. It has to, Misty."Authorities and family members have said they hope the arrests lead to a break in the Haleigh case.Misty
Croslin told authorities she was home with Haleigh and toddler Ronald
Cummings Jr. the night of Feb. 10 when she woke up about 3 a.m. to find
Haleigh missing. A
massive search by law enforcement and volunteers on land and in the
nearby St. Johns River ensued, but the case remains unsolved.Meanwhile,
a California bounty hunter who was involved in another high-profile
child case - the slaying of Caylee Anthony in Orlando - has offered to
bond Croslin out of jail if she gives him information about Haleigh's
whereabouts.Leonard Padilla also wants anything Croslin would tell him to be covered by the attorney-client privilege.Fields said Thursday he would advise Misty Croslin to reject the offer."I'm going to advise her against it because I think it would really hurt her," Fields said.Caylee
Anthony's mother, Casey Anthony, has been charged with murder in
connection with her death. Padilla helped bond her out of jail, saying
he believed she would tell him where to find Caylee, which she did not
do.The child's remains later were found by a utility worker near
the neighborhood of Casey Anthony's parents. Casey Anthony's bond has
been revoked, and she is now jailed awaiting trial.Putnam County
Sheriff's Lt. Johnny Greenwood said investigators are reviewing the
recently released recordings to glean any information that could lead
to a break in the Haleigh case.Greenwood added that authorities did not ask Misty Croslin's parents to press her to cooperate with investigators."If
there is information in those conversations that can lead us in the
direction of Haleigh, we are interested," Greenwood said. "We have
spoken with everyone involved, but no, we did not ask anyone to speak
to her for us. We always hope she will decide to tell us what happened."

Re: HALEIGH CUMMINGS - 5 yo - Satsuma FL - The Beginning
Haleigh Cummings' family will hold a vigil this weekend as a milestone approaches — the
one-year anniversary of the Putnam County girl's disappearance, a Web site is reporting.
The Hope For Haleigh Prayer Vigil will be at 5:30 p.m. at Celebration Park.
The girl vanished from her father's trailer in the rural community of
Satsuma, about 80 miles north of Orlando, while her father's
girlfriend, Misty Croslin, was baby sitting.
Her father, Ronald Cummings, was working.
Haleigh, then 5, was last seen by Croslin at about 10 p.m. Feb. 9,
2009. Croslin, now 18, told investigators that she woke up about 3:30
a.m. Feb. 10, 2009 and found that the girl was missing from the bed
where she had been sleeping with her younger brother and Croslin.
Authorities think Croslin has not told everything she knows about what
happened that night. But no one has been charged in the girl's
disappearance.
Both Croslin and Cummings are in different jails on drug-trafficking charges.
