Casey Anthony: Alleged mistress of George scoffs at incest claim

Tony Pipitone of WKMG-Channel 6 is at it again: He offered an interview last night with another potential defense witness in the Casey Anthony trial.

Last week investigative reporter Pipitone talked to Dr. Werner Spitz before the forensic pathologist took the stand. Prosecutor Jeff Ashton in court Saturday even referred to Pipitone’s interview when cross examining Spitz. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

This week, Pipitone talked to Krystal Holloway, the alleged mistress of George Anthony. (Holloway is also known as River Cruz.)

In his opening statement, defense attorney Jose Baez drew on Holloway’s claim that George Anthony said Caylee’s death was an accident that snowballed out of control. She says he told her that in November 2008 before the toddler’s remains were found in December of that year.

George Anthony has testified that he didn’t know his granddaughter’s death was an accident. He also has denied an affair with Holloway. WKMG legal analyst Mark O’Mara said the defense could use Holloway’s testimony to impeach George.

But Holloway disputes the defense claim that George Anthony pulled Caylee’s dead body from the family’s pool, and Holloway doesn’t believe the claim that George sexually molested Casey for years. “It was ridiculous,” Holloway told Pipitone. “My jaw dropped. I could not believe that came out.”

How good a witness could Holloway be? Holloway denied to investigators that she had an affair with George Anthony. But, now, she is telling Pipitone that she did have an intimate affair with him.

It’s pretty clear that the defense and prosecution are following Pipitone’s interviews. What interview will he score next?
