State police have been searching for a 16-year-old western
Pennsylvania boy who has been missing since he was believed to be
involved in two hit-and-run crashes while driving a family member's
vehicle without permission.

State police in Kittanning say the missing boy is Zachary Mazur
of Freeport.Police say Mazur left his home early Saturday morning and is
believed to have crashed the vehicle he took twice in neighboring
Harrison Township, in Allegheny County. Mazur's home and the
accident scenes are about 25 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.Police say Mazur ran away after the second crash and hasn't been
seen. Police don't know if he was injured in either crash, but say
he hasn't contacted his family since the incidents.

Police asked the public for help in locating a 16-year-old who has been missing since early Saturday.
A trooper from the Pennsylvania State Police at Kittanning said
Zachary Jonathan Tyler Mazur of Freeport took his family's car without
permission after midnight Saturday.
He was involved in two hit-and-run traffic accidents in Harrison, abandoning the vehicle in Natrona Heights and running away.
His family is concerned he may be injured.
He was described 6-foot-1, 215 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair in a buzz cut.
Anyone with information was asked to contact the Kittanning barracks of the state police at 724-543-2011.

Police this afternoon found a missing Freeport boy believed to have
been involved in two hit-and-run accidents on Saturday morning.
Zachary Jonathan Tyler Mazur, 16, was found at an abandoned house in
the Natrona Heights section of Harrison. He had minor cuts and scrapes
and was taken by Armstrong County Probation to a juvenile detention
center, said Trooper Steven Liston, a state police investigator.
Mazur left his residence sometime after midnight Saturday and took a
family member's vehicle without permission, police said. The youth does
not have a driver's license, Liston said.
Police said Mazur was involved in two hit-and-run wrecks in Harrison between 2 and 4 a.m. Saturday.
While driving a 2001 silver Dodge Intrepid, Mazur allegedly hit
another car being driven by someone else, Liston said. Liston did not
know on what street the accident occurred.
Mazur then hit a tree, pole or gas meter near Sylvan Pool, disabling the car, police said. Mazur left on foot, police said.
Police found Mazur at an abandoned Harvard Street house about 12:30 this afternoon thanks to a tip, Liston said.
Mazur took the car to go on a joy-ride, Liston said, then got scared
and nervous. Liston said Mazur's family told police the Intrepid was
totaled.
