Laval cops plead for help in finding missing teen
July 9, 2011 - MONTREAL - Laval police are appealing for the public's help in locating a teenage girl who vanished Wednesday.


Jessica Stabili, 16, is 5-foot-3 and weighs about 110 pounds.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Laval police
at 450-662-4636.

Jessica Stabili, 16, was last seen by a train at Laurier métro at around 11 p.m. Wednesday night.

She's 5-foot-3, weighs about 110 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes, and her lower lip is pierced.

Anyone with information about Stabili’s whereabouts is asked to call Laval police at 450-662-4636.

Mother fears gang has taken teen daughter

A Montreal mother is desperate to find her daughter.

On Tuesday, Caroline Stabili issued a public cry for help to find the teen.

Stabili worries 16-year-old Jessica Stabili is under the control of an east-end street gang.

“I’m very worried for her, I’m scared for her safety,” the mother told Global Montreal.

The girl has been missing for nearly two weeks.

A few months ago, the teen filed a police report against a known gang member.

He allegedly assaulted her while the girl was living on the street – she had previously run away.

“The disappearance may be a form of revenge,” the mother said.

The Laval resident was last seen leaving her workplace on July 6 around 10:30 p.m. in the Plateau.

She worked as a cashier at the Marche Laurier supermarket on Laurier Street.

Jessica was walking to the nearby metro station to board a train home.

“Nothing seemed out of the ordinary that day,” store manager Stephane Gelinas said. “We even checked store surveillance videos – nothing strange.”

The mother believes the teen was abducted on the street.

Jessica Stabili is 5-foot-3, roughly 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

She has a piercing on her lower lip.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.

A Laval teen who had been missing since July was found on Thursday night in Montreal.

Sixteen-year-old Jessica Stabili was last seen leaving her home to go to work in Montreal near the Laurier metro station.

She was found at a motel on Henri Bourassa Blvd. near Langelier Blvd. in Montreal North. Stabili will be reunited with her family on Friday.
