July 16, 2011 - Police in Montreal are trying to find a missing 16 year-old girl.



Yasmine Merabti was last seen at 6 p.m. Friday evening near her home in Hochelaga Maisonneuve.

She has green eyes, is five feet or 1.52 metres tall and weighs about a hundred pounds or 45 kilograms.

According to police, Merabti speaks French and was last seen wearing a white tank top and black running shoes

Police are asking anyone with information about her to call Info-Crime at 393-1133.

July 17, 2011 - MONTREAL - A young girl reported missing this week left with all her pictures and her clothes, Montreal police said.

Yasmine Merabti, 16, was last seen on Thursday evening near her home in Hochelage-Maisonneuve.

Police spokesperson Daniel Lacoursière said she left her 8-year-old brother at a street corner and boarded STM bus number 33, leaving the boy to go home alone.

Merabti is five feet tall, has brown hair, green eyes and speaks French.

She was wearing a white tank top and black sneakers with white laces when she disappeared.

Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1.
