Police ask for help locating missing teen girl

San Antonio police are asking for help locating a 17-year-old girl last seen June 29. Alexis Ruiz went missing from her home in the 200 block of Hammond Avenue in Highland Park. Her mother, Lorie Ann Garza, said she does not know how or why Ruiz left the house. “She left on her own will but I'm worried about her,” Garza said. “She's never done this before and nobody has heard from her.”Ruiz
is 4 feet 11 inches tall with long dark hair with light brown
highlights. She has two gold teeth in the front of her mouth with the
initials “AR” on them.Anyone with any information on Ruiz's whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department's missing persons unit at 210-207-7660.

SAN ANTONIO -- A teen who was missing for almost three weeks is now back with her family.

Alexis
Ruiz was last seen June 29, 2011 in the 200 Block of Hammond. Police
contacted News 4 WOAI Wednesday morning and said the 17-year-old had
returned home on her own Tuesday afternoon. No other details were
provided.
