Man accused of beating 2-year-old boy to death

Bosichell Radford is accused of beating his girlfriend's son while she was at work.

An Orlando man was arrested today, accused of fatally beating his girlfriend's 2-year-old son, according to Orlando police.

Bosichell Radford, 26, faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and domestic-violence battery.

Investigators said Radford beat Isaiah Shade over a several-day period in July. The beatings would begin when the toddler's mother left for her job at Walmart.

A neighbor heard the noise of beatings through the walls, but did not alert police, court records show.

The toddler was living with his mother, 27-year-old Liketa Robertson, and Radford at the Tour-O-Tel motel on North Orange Blossom Trail.

Isaiah died July 29. He and his mother had only moved in with Radford five days prior.

The neighbor, Daryl Nailing, reported hearing Radford beat Isaiah each day since he had moved in.

Nailing told police that a few days prior to the fatal beating, he saw Radford with feces on his shirt. He reported the boy had defecated on him, as well as on himself, and that he was going to "Whoop his ass."

The Medical Examiner determined Isaiah died from internal bleeding, which included injuries to his liver, kidney and diaphragm. He also suffered hemorrhaging between his skull and scalp. The cause of death is listed as blunt trauma to the abdomen.

The Department of Children and Families confirmed it is investigating Isaiah's death. The couple had no children together.

Robertson, who is described as having an "obvious learning disability," said she was also repeatedly abused by Radford.

DCF spokeswoman Carrie Hoeppner said the agency has one prior report related to Isaiah, but it does not involve Radford.

In that case, DCF reports show that Isaiah had a small nick on his chin, but it didn't rise to the level of needing a medical exam. There were no marks or bruises at that time.

does the egg donor not check on her child when she gets off from work? she should be charged and the neighbor who heard the beatings should be charged too for not calling for help when he heard the beatings to begin with. this just makes me physically ill.

Flash, you're right. They need to start arresting these POS mothers. Maybe a few years of parenting classes IN PRISON would help them.

Twink they should also sterilize any and all child murderers so that they cant do it again; including the egg donors because they have proven they have very poor judgement concerning their children. IMO idiots accused of murdering a child and/or neglecting a childs by leaving them with murdering idiots should b stripped of their "right" to bear children. As tax payers, we are providing funding to take care of these children and we end up paying for the keep of the murderers too. this is just so wrong!

I agree with you Twink and Flash. When are they going to arrest this mother? She knew the monster was beating her baby and allowed it to go on until he was dead. She definately needs to serve time and quit having more babies. And the idiot neighbor--he needs to be charged with child neglect. He said he heard the murderer beating the baby every day and did nothing. I do know that Orange Blossom trail is a very seedy area and known for drugs and prostitution so probably all these people were doing illegal crap but still how can they listen to a baby being beaten and do nothing?
