Amber Alert issued for 2 missing Detroit brothers

An Amber Alert has been issued for two young brothers from Detroit.

Rayshawn and Deshawn Bigsby, ages 3 and 2, respectively, were taken from a home in the area of 25th Street near Vernor, according to the alert.

According to the alert, the children were last seen in the home at about 1 a.m. today and are “believed to be in extreme danger.” Police believe the children were abducted by 18-year-old Sharese Walker, who is described as 5-feet, 120-pounds and last seen wearing red jogging shorts or yellow pants and a purple shirt.

Rayshawn is 3 ½-feet tall and 45-pounds. He has a rash on the top of his head and has double lines near his hair line as part of a hair style, according to the alert. He was last seen wearing a one-piece Mickey Mouse outfit.

Deshawn is 24-inches tall and 35-pounds and has a large scar on his lower back. He was last seen wearing a one-piece red outfit.

DETROIT (WWJ) – An Amber Alert has been issued for
two brothers who were taken from their home in the area of 25th Street,
near Vernor Highway in Detroit.

Charlie Edwards said his two young sons, 3-year-old Rayshawn Bigsby
and 2-year-old Deshawn Bigsby, were taken overnight by his girlfriend.

Rayshawn is described as a black male, 3.5 feet, 45 pounds with brown
eyes and black hair. He has a rash on the top of his head and has
double lines near his hair line as part of a hair style. Rayshawn last
seeing wearing a one piece Mickey Mouse Outfit.

Deshawn is described as a black male, 2 years old, 24″ tall, 35
pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He also has a large scar on his
lower back. Deshawn was last scene wearing a red one piece outfit.

The children were last seen in the family home in southwest Detroit
around 1:00 am Friday, and are believed to be in extreme danger.

Edwards said he put the boys to bed around 10:30 pm Thursday before
he fell asleep while watching a movie with his new girlfriend Brianna
Walker, whom he recently met online. When Edwards woke up around 1:30
am, both his sons and Walker were gone.

Police have reason to believe Walker abducted the children. Walked is
believed to be 18-years-old, 5 feet, 120 pounds, with brown eyes and
black hair. She was last seen wearing Red Jogging Shorts or yellow pants
and a purple shirt.

Vehicle information is not available at this time.

Missing Detroit Brothers Found Safe

DETROIT -- Two young Detroit boys who had been the subject of an Amber Alert were found safe late Friday afternoon.
Michigan State Police issued an Amber Alert Friday morning for 2-year-old son Deshawn Bigsby and 3-year old son Rayshawn Bigsby after their father said they were taken overnight by his girlfriend.
Police said the boys were found walking with their father's girlfriend along the Southfield Freeway near Warren Avenue. Police said the boys were unharmed but were being treated for asthma because it appeared they had been walking all day.
In an interview with Local 4, Charlie Edwards had said he was frantic to find his sons.
Edwards said he put his sons to bed in their southwest Detroit home on 25th Street about 10:30 p.m. Thursday night and then fell asleep while watching a movie with his new girlfriend. He said when he woke up about 1:30 a.m. to find his sons and his girlfriend were gone.
"They weren't in bed. They were just gone. So I came running back downstairs and woke up my sister again and told her that the female had taken my kids," Edwards said.
Edwards said he met his girlfriend, Brianna Walker, online and had only begun bringing her home within the last week. He said she told him she was 20, but now is questioning everything.
"I'm thinking she is younger because she doesn't look 20," he said. "Just tell her to bring my kids back. That's all I need. Just bring my kids back."
In the Amber Alert, police said Walker is 18 and was last seen wearing red jogging shorts or yellow pants with a purple shirt. Police said they have information that Walker may have kidnapped children before. They also said they were double checking her age because she actually might be as young as 16.
