Sheriff: Missing teen may have been in Roseburg on Sunday


Kaylee Rae Fowler was reported missing at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday. The Josephine County Sheriff's Office said she is believed to
be with Branden S. Martin.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. - A 13-year-old girl who left home Aug.
24 may have been seen in Roseburg on Sunday, according to the Josephine
County, Ore., Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff is asking the National Center for Missing &
Exploited Children (NCMEC) to aid in the search for Kaylee Rae Fowler.

There was a possible sighting of Fowler and a 21-year-old man in Roseburg on Sunday.

The sheriff said the pair could be headed toward Nevada.

NCMEC is a non-profit organization that will contribute
resources to bring awareness of Kaylee’s status to a national level, the
sheriff's office said.

Fowler was reported missing from her home on Aug. 24.
She packed up all her belongings, leading investigators to believe she
left voluntarily.

The sheriff said Fowler is believed to be with
21-year-old Branden Martin, who has a valid stalking order against him
prohibiting contact with Fowler.

If Martin is confirmed to be with Fowler, with what is
known at this time, he faces criminal charges for violation of a
stalking order, the sheriff said. In Oregon, that is a mandatory arrest
in order to allow the victim time to find shelter.

Fowler is 5-foot-2, 135 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Martin is 6-foot-2, 165 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

The Josephine County Sheriff's Office says it appears 13-year-old
Kaylee Rae Fowler left voluntarily with 21-year-old Branden Martin.
There is a stalking order prohibiting Martin to contact Fowler.

It's believed the two may be heading to Nevada; however, there was a

Pass teen who has been missing for nearly two months didn't run away in
the car investigators orginally were looking for.

Thirteen-year-old Kaylee Fowler has been missing since August. The
Josephine County Sheriff's office says the 1999 brown Astrovan they
thought she took off in was sold to someone in Central Point around the
time she went missing.

Fowler's family believes she is with 21-year-old Branden Martin. They
say the two met through mutual friends. He was a substitute teaching
aid at Lincoln Savage Middle School where Fowler attended.

Linda King, Fowler's mother, said she had a stalking order filed
against Martin because she didn't approve of their relationship. She
thought he was only 17-years-old when he was really 21 years of age.

The sheriff's office said they do not know what car Fowler may be in
now. Since Fowler is considered a runaway they say she is not
in danger. They are continuing to investigate.

King says she thinks the two may be in the Barstow, California area
or near Las Vegas because her daughter had said she wanted to go there.

Missing girl reportedly spotted in Corvallis

A missing 13-year-old Grants Pass girl may be in Corvallis.

The family of Kaylee Rae Fowler said that a recent tip of a
sighting has them believing she is in the Corvallis area, according
to a release sent out by the Tommy Foundation, a nonprofit aimed at
finding and preventing missing children.

Kaylee has been missing since Aug. 24, when it appeared that she
left voluntarily, having packed all her personal belongings. She is
believed to be with 21-year-old Branden Martin, who is
the respondent in a valid stalking order prohibiting
contact with Fowler, according to the Josephine County Sheriff's Office.
She was last seen wearing a black shirt with white, green and
red lettering, jeans and a black and white backpack.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- A 13-year-old Grants Pass girl who disappeared in the summer is now safe at home.



Officers located the girl in California on Thursday with a
21-year-old man. Police say they were tipped off by a California
resident who remembered seeing 13-year-old Kaylee Rae Fowler's
photograph and reported it to police. Officers then found out that
Fowler was with Brenden Martin and served a warrant out for his arrest.



Back in August, police say Fowler was reported missing from 700 block
of Jaynes Drive. A Josephine County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman says
Fowler had a stalking order against him, keeping it a no-contact basis
between the two, but says they weren't sure if Fowler or her parents
filed the stalking order.



At the time when Fowler left, it was considered a standard runaway
case. The spokeswoman says it didn't look like Fowler was kidnapped,
saying she left willingly and packed her own stuff. Regardless, on
Thursday afternoon, when police found Martin with her, they arrested
Martin for custodial interference, but not kidnapping.

The spokeswoman says Fowler was located largely because of social
media outlets and various media who had her face and name out to the
public. NewsWatch12 tried contacting Fowler's parents to see how Fowler
has been since she got back, but they did not want to comment.
