FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Authorities in Coconino County are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 2-year-old girl.
It's been almost a year since Serenity Lynn Morse was last seen by her biological mother, on Sept. 23, 2010.

Authorities
believe that Serenity's father, 40-year-old Robert Leland Morse, fled
the Flagstaff area with Serenity in September of 2010, and has been
living with her in the Phoenix area ever since.
Serenity's mother
has had contact with Robert over email, and in those messages, he has
refused to disclose his location or the location of the child.
In
June 2011, Serenity's mother was awarded sole custody of the child, and
a warrant was issued for Robert Morse on charges of custodial
interference.
Morse's last confirmed location was at a family
homeless shelter in Phoenix in early March. Morse has family in
California, Nevada, and Washington state.
Serenity Lynn Morse was born on August 6, 2009. She is about two feet tall, 25 lbs., with blue eyes and blonde hair.

Father arrested in missing girl case

Robert Leland Morse was arrested Friday in an apartment complex
in central Phoenix on charges of custodial interference in the case
of his 2-year-old daughter.The girl, missing for about the past year, was found healthy and
unharmed following an anonymous tip to Phoenix police.Robert Leland Morse surrendered without incident, according to
information from the Coconino County Sheriff's Office.Serenity Lynn Morse was taken by her father, Morse, in September
2010 from a home off Leupp Road that he shared with Serenity's
mother.Courts recently awarded Serenity's mother full custody of the
girl, but the mother had not seen her daughter in about a year and
didn't know her location.Robert Leland Morse is being held in a Phoenix jail on $18,400
bond for a warrant that was issued on Sept. 9, 2011, for custodial
interference.

PHOENIX -- Phoenix police located a father who was wanted on charges of custodial interference.

Coconino County sheriff's officials said Robert Leland Morse was arrested Friday afternoon in Phoenix.

Morse was wanted for custodial interference after he took his 2-year-old daughter from a Flagstaff home a year ago.

The Phoenix Police Department received a tip that Morse was living in an
apartment complex near 17th Avenue and Montebello Avenue. He was
cooperative and taken into custody without incident.

Serenity Lynn Morse was found unharmed and in good health. She will be returned to her mother, who has full custody.

Morse is being held on $18,400 bond for a warrant that was issued on Sept. 9.
