Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office are on the lookout
for a 15-year-old Michigan teen who went missing from her home Friday.
In a release issued by the Presque Isle County Sheriff’s
Department, Ericka Pauly, of Rogers City, went missing in the
early-morning hours, possibly with Joseph Lee Campton Hobbs, 18, of
Winter Haven. If together, authorities said the two would likely be
traveling in a 2001 white Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a Florida license plate.
Winter Haven Police Department spokeswoman Jamie
Brown said Hobbs’ address was listed outside city limits, in an
unincorporated area of Polk County.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Donna Wood said deputies are on the lookout for the missing teen.
The release described Pauly as a tall, 135-pound girl with dark hair, hazel
eyes. She was last seen wearing black moccasins and dark sweatpants.
Hobbs was described as a tall, thin man with light-brown hair.

Ericka Pauly, 15, of Rogers City has been reunited with her family. The Moltke Township teen was found in a Lakeland, Florida apartment complex last week with Joseph Hobbs, 18, of Winter Haven, Florida. He drove to Presque Isle County from Florida and picked Ericka up, at or near the Spens Road farmhouse. Ericka was missing for more than 27 days. Hobbs and Ericka had a previous relationship in Florida, before Ericka moved with her father Scott Pauly to northern Michigan. Scott, who was at a work function last Thursday night, was relieved to get the phone call from a detective in Florida informing him that she was found and was safe. “It’s been a traumatic experience,” said Scott. “I wouldn’t wish this upon no one. Just the feeling of not knowing where your daughter is, whether she is safe, or in harm’s way.” Scott and his oldest daughter Hope made travel arrangements and flew to Florida.
