PHOENIX - A baby is dead, and two other children are removed from a Phoenix home.
At
about 3 p.m. on Saturday, police were called to a home near 67th Avenue
and Indian School because a 9-month-old was not breathing.
The infant, Celeste Sirmans, was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Officers said a homicide investigation is under way because of what they called “suspicious circumstances.”
Two children, ages 6 and 8, were removed from the home by Child Protective Services.
No arrests have been made.
The baby’s parents recently married and moved to Phoenix a few months ago from Florida.
The other two children are the mother’s from a previous relationship.
An autopsy will be performed. Investigators will wait until the completion of the autopsy before they proceed.

It sure seems like Phoenix, AZ has the most baby abuse/murder rates to me. Almost every day, there seems to be an child abuse or murder case in this city and AZ probably tops the charts for state-wide cases. It's such a tragedy. Why do parents beat there babies to death? Maybe if they would quit having so many, it would help.
