RYAN GILLIE - 17 yo - Boones Mill/ Roanoke VA

Police are searching for a missing teenager who was last seen Wednesday afternoon in Boones Mill.

Ryan Gillie, 17, of Roanoke County was last seen about 2 p.m. Wednesday
driving a green 1994 Nissan 300 ZX along the 24000 block of Virgil Goode
Highway, according to Teresa Hall with the Roanoke County Police
Department. The license plate number is XCT 4992.
The vehicle was located at Plateau Plaza in Wirtz Thursday, Hall said.



Gillie is a white male, about 6 feet tall, and weighs 145 pounds.

Members of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office have located the body of a missing Roanoke County teenager.

They discovered the body of 17-year-old Ryan Gillie about 4 p.m. today in a wooded area about a mile from Plateau Plaza in Franklin County, according to a news release from Roanoke County spokeswoman Teresa Hall.

The young man took his own life, the release said. Foul play is not suspected.

Gillie was last seen about 2 p.m. Wednesday in the 20400 block of U.S. 220 between Boones Mill and Rocky Mount, according to a news release issued Thursday by the Roanoke County Police Department.

He was last seen driving a green 1994 Nissan 300ZX with Virginia license plate XCT 4992. Gillie’s vehicle was located at the Plateau Plaza on Thursday.
