COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An Amber Alert has been issued for a 9-year-old girl who was taken from her north Columbus home Thursday night.

Columbus police tell NBC4 Jasmine Bishara, 9, has been taken by her mother, Christine Bishara, 35.

Jasmine is described a juvenile female of Egyptian descent who is 4 feet 4 inches tall and about 71 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.

Christine Bishara is described as female of Egyptian descent who is 5 feet 2 inches tall and about 150 pounds.

Jasmine was last seen at 5274 Butternut Ct. in north Columbus.

Christine may be driving a red Saturn with Ohio license plates ESZ-4873.

Columbus police tells NBC4 Christine was having a psychotic episode and has expressed violent tendencies.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Police on Thursday
evening said that a 9-year-old girl was taken by her mother and could be
in danger, according to ONN's affiliate WBNS.

A statewide Amber Alert was issued for Jasmine Bishara, who was last
seen at 5274 Butternut Ct. in north Columbus where she lived with her
uncle.

Police said that the girl was taken by her mother, Christine Bishara,
who was having a psychotic episode and has had known “violent
tendencies.”

According to police, Christine Bishara’s brother has custody of Jasmine.

Jasmine Bishara is described as black, 4 feet 4 inches tall and about 71 pounds. She was wearing a black shirt and black pants.

Christine Bishara is described as black, 5 feet 2 inches tall and about 115 pounds.

Police said that Christine Bishara likely was driving a red Saturn Vue with Ohio license plate ESZ-4873.

Statewide AMBER Alert cancelled

A 9-year-old child was taken by her mother in Columbus is safe

Columbus Police have cancelled the statewide AMBER Alert issued for
nine-year-old Jasmine Bishara Thursday night. She has been recovered.
Both child and mother are safe in Columbus. Columbus police say they
were found at a Walmart store.
