Mt. Morris couple charged with sexually abusing their 6-month-old daughter

MT. MORRIS, Michigan – A husband and wife
were charged this week with possessing hundreds of images of child pornography,
including photos that involved their 6-month-old daughter, Police Chief Keith
Becker said today.

Daniel and Alisha Hall of Mt. Morris were arraigned Tuesday in Genesee
District Court on criminal sexual conduct and child pornography charges.
Police believe Daniel Hall sexually abused his 6-month-old daughter
while Alisha Hall photographed the acts.The Mt. Morris couple was arraigned
Tuesday in Genesee District Court, Becker said.

Daniel A. Hall, 25, was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, possession of child pornography,
distribution of child pornography and using a computer in the commission of a
crime, according to court records.

He is being is being held at Genesee County Jail on $750,000 bond, Becker said.

Alisha M. Hall, 26, was charged with first-degree
criminal sexual conduct and possession of child pornography and is being held on
$500,000 bond, records show.

"I've been in law enforcement 21 years and
it's the most disturbing thing I've ever seen," Becker said.

Police found 745 images of child pornography
on computers at the couple's Roosevelt Avenue home, Becker said.

Another 13 images showed Daniel Hall
engaging in sexual acts with his 6-month-old daughter, the chief said.

Police believe Alisha Hall, who is
7-months pregnant, took the photos.

The investigation that led to the arrests began last year in
Saginaw County, Decker said.

He said an anonymous Birch Run couple told
police in October that the Halls, through a swingers' website, asked them if
they had a young daughter that they were willing to involve in sexual activity.

Birch Run police began investigating and
Daniel Hall eventually made the same request to an undercover officer, Becker said.

Search warrants were obtained and after
an I.P. address revealed the couple's location, their home was searched in January.

Four computers were taken from the home,
the images were found, and the couple was arrested and sent to Saginaw County
Jail on Saturday, Becker said.

It was determined that the case was in
the jurisdiction of Mt. Morris police and Genesee County law enforcement took over,
searching the home again and transferring the couple to Genesee County Jail on
Tuesday, Becker said.

"They did a lot of wonderful work for us,"
Becker said about Birch Run police.

He said he and Officer Tom Plumb spent the
last two days taking over the investigation and on Tuesday secured a confession
from Alisha Hall.

"We worked 40 hours of police work in the
last two days getting this together," Becker said. "We have a very strong case
and these two are going away for life."

Police pore over evidence in case of accused child molester Daniel Hall, fearing there may have been more victims

MT. MORRIS, Michigan -- Police continue to examine evidence to determine whether any other children may have been abused in the case of Daniel Hall, accused of molesting his infant daughter while his wife Alisha Hall took pictures.Police said Alisha Hall broke down and confessed on Tuesday, telling officers her husband didn't want to hurt any more children.

That worried Mt. Morris Police Chief Keith Becker, who fears there may have been other victims.

"During her interview, she looked at me and she goes 'My husband told me he didn't want to hurt no
more kids,'" Becker said.
Birch Run and Mt. Morris police have searched the Halls' Roosevelt Avenue home multiple times for more evidence.

Birch Run officers, who were tipped off by an anonymous couple who had
contact with the Halls through a swingers' website, initially recovered
two laptop and two desktop computers from which hundreds of child
pornography images were recovered.

Mt. Morris police went back
this week and took a digital camera, disposable cameras, bed sheets and
other items that are still being examined.

Genesee County
Prosecutor David Leyton said the county's internet crimes task force
is be looking at the images that were recovered to determine if any further charges
can be filed against Daniel and Alisha Hall.

The Halls are charged with several sexual misconduct crimes, including first degree criminal sexual conduct, which carries a minimum 25-year sentence and could lead to life in prison.

Police
said they found 13 photos of Daniel A. Hall, 25, engaging in sexual acts
with his then 6-month-old daughter. Alicia M. Hall, 26, is accused of taking the photos. Another 745 explicit images
of children were found.

Leyton said any further charges would be related to production and distribution of child pornography.

Police obtained a search warrants for the investigation after an undercover
Birch Run officer made contact with Daniel Hall through a social networking website, police said.

Genesee County
Family Court records indicate that Hall sent the officer a message saying he was attracted to children.

The exchange took place Jan. 3, according to probate records filed to remove the
Halls' daughter from their care.

Records show he told the
officer "he likes children and he is more into it than his wife,
but that she doesn't mind watching."

Hall later allegedly told
the officer he was "into kiddies and his wife is a little, too." Hall
told the officer he likes children age 3 to 11, records show.

Hall told the officer he never
had sexual relations with a child, but had seen sexually explicit videos
and photos of children, according to the records.

Records show the officer sent nude photos of his fictional 8-year-old
daughter to Hall and that for every photo Hall received, Hall would sent
two photos to the officer.

Records did not say if the photos were of Hall's daughter.

A search warrant was executed days later on Jan. 7.

The Department
of Human Services was notified and Hall and his wife's 9-month-old
child was removed from their home, along with another minor, records show.

Records did not indicate who the parents of the
second child are.

Daniel Hall is being held at Genesee
County Jail on $750,000 bond, and his wife is in jail on
$500,000 bond.

A preliminary exam is scheduled for Feb. 14.

MT. MORRIS, Michigan -- Mt. Morris Police have closed an
investigation into the nature of the relationship between accused child
molester Daniel Hall and his former girlfriend's two children.

Hall is accused of sexually assaulting his then-6-month-old daughter while his wife, Alisha, 26, took pictures.

Becker said the tipster told police that they were concerned that Daniel Hall might have abused the two boys.

"We investigated the tip," Becker said Friday. "We closed that out; there's nothing there."

Becker said authorities are sorting through 5,000-8,000 images found on Hall's computer. The police chief said he is still concerned there are more victims out there.

"Mr. Hall told (Alisha) 'I don't want to hurt anymore kids,' kids," Becker said. "Not kid, kids. That's my concern."

Becker said anyone else that knows of someone that might have been abused should contact his office at 810-686-4400.

Daniel and Alisha Hall have both been sent to the Michigan Center for Forensic Psychiatry to discover if they are competent for trial. They are scheduled to be back in Genesee District Court April 17.

"We're looking at every lead," Becker said.

OMG How does a MOTHER allow such nasty abuse to go on with her infant baby? These two are nothing more than sadistic animals and I hope they rot in jail. I am amazed that the two boys weren't harmed but I guess this nasty ahole must only like females. What a pig.
