ALFONSO HILLMAN and DAVID ASHLEY - 15 yo - St Petersburg/ Clearwater FL
ST. PETERSBURG --
The Highlands County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the
public's help in locating two missing endangered juveniles who
disappeared recently from the Lake Placid area.
15-year-old Alfonso Francis Hillman is described as a black teen,
standing approximately 6’2” and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He
has black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen in Lake Placid on the school bus on February 24.
Also missing is 15-year-old David Ashley Quiggle. He has brown hair and
brown eyes. David is also from Lake Placid.
Originally Alfonso was believed to be in the company of Francisco
Jesus Espinoza, 21, who drives a 1993 blue Ford pickup truck with
Florida tag N019DJ.
Espinosa reported that he dropped off both teens in Clearwater on the evening of February 27th.
At that time Alfonso was believed to be wearing an orange and blue
'Gators' ball cap, blue shirt and blue pants ripped at the knees.
David was said to be wearing a gray Nike shirt and white and blue
beach shorts. It is possible that Alfonso has been involved in an
accident and has sustained injuries to his arm.
Sources have indicated the teens may be in the St. Petersburg or Carrollwood areas.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Highlands County
Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit at (863) 402-7357 or Heartland
Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS(8477). You can also submit information

Two missing juveniles found
LAKE PLACID --
Two Lake Placid youths who were last seen on Feb. 24, were
recovered Tuesday and were in the care of the Tampa Police Department,
said Nell Hays, Highlands County Sheriff's Office public information
officer.
"Tampa PD is assisting us in getting everything squared away," Hays
said Tuesday. "Tampa PD did not find them – they just resurfaced. The
investigation is ongoing; there are a lot of unanswered questions."
They were listed as endangered because of their ages.
The sheriff's office asked for assistance from the public on March 9
in locating the two missing endangered juveniles, Alfonso Francis
Hillman, 15, and David Ashley Quiggle, 15, who disappeared from the area
and surfaced Tuesday.
There was a delay reporting asking the public for help because
originally Hillman was believed to be in the company of Francisco Jesus
Espinoza, 21 years of age, who drove a 1993 blue Ford pickup truck.
Once located, Espinosa told investigators that he dropped off both
boys in Clearwater on the evening of Feb. 27, the report stated.
According to an earlier report sources had indicated these juveniles may have been in the St. Petersburg or Carrollwood areas.
The earlier report also indicated that it was possible Hillman had
been involved in an accident and has sustained injuries to his arm.
Hays could not confirm that earlier injury information. But said the
boys were not harmed, citing a slight difference in semantics between
the words injury and harm.
Where the runaways go next was yet to be decided, she said.
