Casey Anthony: Are you ready for year six of coverage?

Coverage of Casey Anthony started in 2008. Coverage will continue into 2013. Where did the time go?
Zenaida Gonzalez is suing Anthony for defamation, and Judge Lisa Munyon today postponed the trial to Jan. 2. The trial had been scheduled to begin next month.
“The surprise is how long Munyon has decided to put it off,” WESH-Channel 2’s Bob Kealing said at noon.
But Kealing noted that the two sides will still argue competing motions for a summary judgment on March 23 and that might result in no trial.
“The delay now gives Gonzalez’s attorneys extra time to hunt down Casey Anthony’s hiding spot and serve her with a subpoena,” WKMG-Channel 6’s Mike DeForest reported. “By the time the trial rolls around in January, Anthony will longer be on probation and potentially may not live in Florida anymore.”
Kealing also noted that Anthony’s status will be different. “By January of next year, her appeal in the criminal case — the conviction of lying to the police – should be over,” Kealing said. “So should her probation in the theft case that requires her to stay in Florida.”
The extra cost of putting off the defamation trial is roughly $150 ( for issuing more jury summons), the judge said.
