A Morrow High School
senior sent her mother a text message on Monday saying she was staying
after school for a class, and her parents have not seen her since.

Nineteen-year-old Jennifer Gamble disappeared between sixth and seventh periods on Monday.

“Not
seeing her anymore, that’s my greatest fear,” Gamble’s mother,
Jacqueline Gamble said. “It’s the beginning of a nightmare for me.”

Jacqueline Gamble said one of her daughter’s friends told her she met someone on Facebook.

Jennifer
Gamble’s parents have had no direct contact with her since Monday,
though her mom has received a few text messages from her phone.

“Don’t worry mommy, I’m coming home just know I love you and can’t wait to see you and dad. Muah,” one text message read.

Jacqueline
Gamble said she received no response when she tried to continue the
conversation. She also said the messages are not written the way her
daughter normally writes them.

“It’s almost like someone else has
the phone, or someone is standing over her. Or maybe, to me, I’m
thinking somebody just won’t let her talk,” Jacqueline Gamble said.

Jacqueline
Gamble said she has checked her daughter’s Facebook page for clues, but
she believes there is another page that the teen used to communicate.

“It’s
very disturbing. That’s my child. I love her and she has never done
anything like this before. She has never given me any kind of trouble
like this,” Jacqueline Gamble said. “Baby, please come home.”

The
Clayton County Police Department is investigating. Officers said they
plan to check recordings from school surveillance cameras.
