Police are asking for the public’s help to locate two teenage girls
who were last seen Friday afternoon at a Goodyear elementary school.

Alexis Edison, 13, and Victoria Mendoza, 14, were reportedly last
seen about 12:20 p.m. at Desert Thunder Elementary School, 16750 W.
Garfield Road, but have not been heard from since, according to Goodyear
police Officer Jeff Streeter.

The girls’ parents reported them missing about 4 p.m., Streeter said.

Alexis is described as 5-feet, 5-inches tall, about 110 pounds, with brown eyes and hair.

Victoria is described as 5-feet tall, about 105 pounds, with brown eyes and hair.

Police and school staff are currently searching the area, Streeter said.

GOODYEAR - Two teenage girls who had been missing since about noon Friday have been found safe.
13-year-old
Alexis Edison and 14-year-old Victoria Mendoza had last been seen at
Desert Thunder Elementary School, located at 16750 W. Garfield St., at
about 12:20 p.m.
Their parents had reported them missing just before 4 p.m.
The
teens were located after police received calls from people in the area
who noticed them going to a home there Saturday morning.
The teenagers were found at their friend’s home in good health -- after being gone for about 20 hours.
They had reportedly spent the night at a church.
Police said no crime was involved, and in this case, it was just kids making bad decisions.
