Re: Twins JORDAN and TAYLOR DEJERINNETT - 9 yo - Montgomery AL
Montgomery mother Terrye Moore is pleading for the return of her twins: 9-year-olds Jordan and Taylor DeJerinett.
"I just wanna know what happened. Wherever my
children are, the family is pulling for you and we're hear waiting for
you to come back...safe return all in one piece and I love 'em," Moore
said.
She says her twins were last seen Sunday at her friend's house: 73-year-old Jack Mac Girdner in Hope Hull.
"Last night around midnight I went to go pick them up and no one was home," Moore said.
Moore says Girdner has been a friend of three
years. She says he was a church member who showed interest in her kids
and had been spending time with them and babysitting.
"He was fond of them and he would take them to little outings and things like this," Moore said.
Investigators say Girdner's white 1988
Mercedes 560 SEL sedan is also missing. That Alabama license plate
number is AY50790. Moore doesn't suspect foul play.
"Jack was a good person you know. I think my
church members, friends and family can vouch for that and say that same
thing that they feel like he's a fairly good person and that he
wouldn't, we wouldn't want to believe that he would do anything like
that," Moore said.
Jordan was last seen wearing a black shirt and shorts. Taylor was wearing a blue and white jump suit.
"Whoever knows where they might be needs to
get them back to me in one peace and I know that my lord will do just
that," Moore said.
The mother says this is totally out of this
man's character and she really doesn't believe he would harm the kids.
She says she he was elderly but didn't have any medical conditions that
she was aware of.
If you know anything that could help
officials find Jordan and Taylor.. Call the Lowndes County Sheriffs
Department at 334-548-2151.

LOWNDES CO., AL (WSFA) -
More
than 18 hours after authorities confirmed the investigation of an
apparent homicide in Lowndes County, very little information
remains confirmed.
The Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the
Lowndes County Sheriff's Department continue to investigate but say the
senative nature of the investigation is keeping them from releasing any
details.
No suspects or victims have been identified, nor has a specific location or possible motive in the case.
The investigation is in the same county
where twin 9-year-old brother and sister Jordan and Taylor Dejerinett,
along with their 73-year-old babysitter, Jack Mac Girdner, disappeared
Sunday. No connection has been made to the three at this point.
WSFA 12 News went to the home of the twins
again Wednesday where there were numerous cars in the driveway. Several
family members confirmed that the children's mother, Terrye Moore, was
at the home, but said that she did not wish to speak at this time.
A family member said Moore was release from
a hospital Tuesday evening, though he would not say why she'd
originally checked into the facility.
Moore said in an interview Monday that she
and Girdner have been friends for approximately three years and that
she does not believe he would harm her children.
The Alabama Department of Public Safety still has an ACTIVE missing persons alert regarding all three individuals.
WSFA 12 News remains in close contact with authorities. We'll share any information that can be confirmed as soon as possible.

Arrest made in slain Alabama twins case

Deandra Marquis Lee was arrested Saturday morning in Selma, the Alabama Bureau of Investigation announced.
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
(CNN)
-- A 22-year-old man wanted in the shooting deaths of 9-year-old
Alabama twins and their elderly babysitter was arrested Saturday
morning, authorities said.
Deandra Marquis Lee was captured in Selma, the Alabama Bureau of Investigation announced.
The bodies of the twins, Jordan and Taylor Dejerinett, and 73-year-old Jack
Mac Girdner were found Tuesday afternoon on a dirt road near
Hayneville, southwest of Montgomery, state investigators said.
The children and Girdner, according to the bureau investigators, were last
seen Sunday when the twins' mother left them in the care of the
babysitter.
When the twins' mother returned later that night to
pick them up from the suburban Montgomery home of the babysitter, the
children and Girdner were missing, investigators said, along with
Girdner's car, a 1988 Mercedes-Benz.
Authorities did not release a possible motive in the killings, though they confirmed the three victims were shot.
State investigators also did not say what evidence connected Lee to the case.
Girdner's car was found -- with its doors removed -- Thursday in Minter, they said.
Lee, according to state investigators, has a history of trouble with the
law. In 2011, he was acquitted of murder in a 2008 shooting that
prosecutors say was gang related.
Before Sunday, Lee was out on
bond following January 2012 charges in Dallas County that he assaulted a
police officer and was in possession of gun with an altered ID number,
state investigators said.
According to court records, Lee was
also arrested on a third-degree robbery charge and released on $10,000
bond in Lowndes County in February 2012 for allegedly stealing a Honda
Accord in 2011.

From the CBS 8 West Alabama Newsroom-- Triple murder suspect Deandra Lee was back in a Lowndes County courtroom Tuesday-- where his bond on a previous charge was revoked. District Attorney Charlotte Tesmer says a 10-thousand dollar bond on Lee on a robbery charge from earlier this year was revoked by the judge based on the new charges against Lee. Lee is accused of shooting and killing Jordan and Taylor Dejerinett-- and 73-year-old Jack Girdner. Their bodies were found on a dirt road near Hayneville about two weeks ago. A preliminary hearing regarding the murders has been set for July 2nd. "He wants it done before a grand jury so that the other side has an opportunity to see what kind of bare bones evidence we have, we just have to prove probable cause that Mister Lee committed the murders." Lee's bond in the murder cases is set 3-million dollars.
