ADA COUNTY, Idaho -
An AMBER Alert has been issued for the state of Idaho.
An
investigation is in progress for an abducted child. The child is Lee
Roy Center; he is a white male, age 17, 5 feet 9 inches and 165 pounds.
The suspect is Verdell Rip Daniel; he is a white male, age 44, 6 feet 0 inches and 215 pounds. He has brown hair.
The
suspect vehicle is a 1995 Chevrolet 1500 with Idaho US plates license:
1A4C423. Pickup is blue and silver. Their location is unknown.
We
have just received this important information regarding an abducted
child in Ada County. Ada County Sheriff is looking for a child who was
last seen at 2204 N Liberty Street, Boise, and believed to be in danger.
According
to the Amber Alert website: Lee Center has serious bodily injury.
Verdell Daniel is preventing medical treatment for Lee. He hid Lee for
two days and cut off communication with others. Boise City Police was
notified of the incident on 8/28/12 and is actively seeking Lee Center.
Ada County Court ordered custody removed from Verdell Daniel on 8/29/12.

IDAHO AMBER ALERT: Child in extreme danger! Father beat up son then
kidnapped him: The Ada County Sheriff's Office has activated an Amber
Alert for 17-year-old Lee Roy Center of Boise, Idaho.

Officials
say Lee's father 44-year-old Verdell R. Daniel, who also goes by the
name of Ric Daniel, committed aggravated battery causing serious bodily
injury to Lee.

The sheriff's office says Da
niel prevented getting medical treatment for Lee, hid him for two days, and cut off communication to others.

Officials were notified on Tuesday. The Ada County court ordered custody removal from Daniel on Wednesday.

Officials also say Daniel left Boise and may be traveling in a 1996
blue and silver Chevrolet C/K 1500 Pickup truck with Idaho license
plate, 1A4C423.
Lee was last seen at 2204 North Liberty Street in Boise.

Terra Connell, Daniel's live in girlfriend may also be traveling with them.

Officials believe they are heading to Oregon or Utah.

Daniel is a white male, with brown hair, hazel eyes, and believed to be 6 feet tall and weighing 217 pounds.

Lee is a white male, with brown hair, hazel eyes, and believed to be 5 feet 9 inches tall and 165 pounds.

Missing 17-year-old from Boise found safe

BOISE -- The Ada County Sheriff's Office is reporting that
17-year-old Lee Roy Center has been found safe in a Boise home with no
apparent injuries.

Boise Police found the boy shortly after 7:30 a.m. Thursday at a
home on the 2200 block of North Liberty Street. He has been turned over
to the custody of the Idaho Dept. of Health and Welfare.

Deputies activated an Amber Alert for Center on Wednesday night after
they feared he may have been endangered by his father, 44-year-old
Verdell R. Daniel.

On Thursday, police spokesman Chuck McClure said officers had located
Daniel, but had not arrested him, and did not file charges against him.

McClure also said police continue to investigate a third-party report
that led them to seek Daniel as a suspect in an alleged aggravated
battery against the teen.

TEEN REPORTED INJURED, MAY NOT HAVE BEEN


On Wednesday, officials with the Ada County Sheriff's office said
they received a third-party report that Center's father, 44-year-old
Verdell R. Daniel, committed aggravated battery, causing serious bodily
injury to Center.

The sheriff's office also said that Daniel may have prevented Center from getting medical treatment after he injured the boy.

Ada County issued a court order for Center to be removed from Daniel's custody on Wednesday.

At the same time, officials said Daniel left Boise sometime on Wednesday, and may have attempted to drive out of state.

However, those reports appear to conflict with information the Boise
Police Dept. released on Thursday. That's because Center was found safe
with no apparent injuries.
Police say the allegation that Center was injured by his father is
part of an ongoing investigation, and declined to comment any further on
the case.

They say they'll continue to investigate the conditions that led to
Wednesday's Amber Alert, including the "elusive nature" of Daniel's
actions.
