Severely Autistic Boy Missing in St. Johns County

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators are looking for a
13-year-old autistic boy who wandered away from his neighborhood this
afternoon.
According to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, the boy,
identified as Benjamin Herskovitz, was playing in a neighbor's yard in
the 1100 block of Ardmore Street, near the World Golf Village and
Pacetti Bay Middle School.
Benjamin is severely autistic and reportedly scaled a fence and walked away.
The sheriff's office said he was not wearing shoes or a shirt and had on gray pants.
Benjamin is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 100 pounds. He has brown curly hair.
Searchers with bloodhounds are actively searching the area for the
boy. The school is on one side of the neighborhood and a deep wooded
area is to the south.
If you spot Benjamin, call 911. Benjamin can speak if he chooses to,
but a friend of the family advised anyone not to try to hold him or
restrain him.

Autistic Boy in St. Johns County Has Been Found Safe



ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- The severely autistic teenager who wandered
off from his neighborhood was located around 6 p.m. and is safe,
according to a friend of the family.
According to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, 13-year-old
Benjamin Herskovitz was playing this afternoon in a neighbor's yard in
