An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 4-month-old girl.

Stephanie Lavette Phillip was abducted by her mother’s boyfriend, Byron Gee, 26. He is driving in a stolen white 1999 Ford Expedition, Texas license plate DK3N645, according to police.

Gee is a black male, standing at 5-feet-8-inches tall, last seen
wearing black pants and shirt, with no shoes. Stephanie is a black
child. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and diaper.

AMBER ALERT UPDATE: Baby Found Safe In Galveston, Suspect Arrested

UPDATE: 8:25 p.m.

According to police, a 4-month-old baby who was allegedly taken by
her mother’s boyfriend was found safe at a hotel in Galveston Tuesday
evening.

Police said they took the suspect, 32-year-old Byron Earl Gee, into custody just after 8 p.m. Tuesday.

They found the baby at the Mariner Hotel in Galveston around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The baby is reportedly doing well. We will have more on this story as details become available.

Amber Alert Issued For Baby

HOUSTON (CBS Houston) An Amber Alert has been issued for a four-month-old baby. The baby was allegedly abducted by her mom’s boyfriend.

The boyfriend has been identified as Byron Earl Gee, a convicted criminal. According to the Houston Police Department, Gee took little Stephanie Lavette Phillips from an apartment complex located on W. Bellfort around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The baby is described as an African-American female and was wearing only a white t-shirt and diaper at the time of her disappearance.

Police also stated that Gee was driving a stolen white 1999 Ford Expedition.

Gee is described as an African-American male who stands approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt and no shoes. Police said Gee is not the child’s biological father.

The SUV Gee is driving was stolen from a neighboring apartment complex with license plate number DK3N645.

Gee has been convicted of two felonies and three misdemeanors since 2001.
