Mother Sentenced for Toddler's Death

The Saint Xavier woman who threw her toddler out of a moving vehicle killing her was sentenced to 21 years and 10 months in prison.

Mary Agnes Leider pled guilty to second degree murder in July of this year for the death of Tenielle Big Day.

The 3-year-old was found dead next to Highway 313 last December 3rd.

Prosecutors say Big Day was on Leider's lap when she opened the passenger door and threw Tenielle onto the highway.

Police say the vehicle was going at least 45 mph at the time.

Prosecutors don't know why Leider did it, but called the crime "unimaginable."

Did she ever give her reason for murdering her little baby?

Twenty one years is not enough.  She took her baby's life and she should be in prison for the rest of her life.
