Onnika Fisher: Amber alert issued for 6-year-old girl last seen in Jacksonville, Florida

A Florida AMBER alert has been issued for Onnika Fisher, last seen in the area of the 6000 block of Dupont Station Court in Jacksonville, Florida.

The 6-year-old was wearing a pink jacket with white polka dot lining and blue jeans.

The child may be in the company of 39-year-old Charity Chapman.

They may be traveling in a 2000 dark green Buick Century with an Ohio tag number FPA4958.

AMBER ALERT: 2000 Dark Green Buick Century w Ohio tags FPA-4958 Onnika Fisher, 6 abducted in Florida




Abducted:  Onnika Fisher, 6, of Jacksonville, Florida.
Vehicle:  2000 dark green Buick Century with an Ohio license plate: FPA-4958
Abducted by: Charity Chatman, 38  (Onnika's mother. She does not have present custody and may need medical attention due to an emotional disorder and recent delusional episodes.)

Child Description: Onnika was last seen wearing a pink jacket with a white polka dot inner lining, and blue jeans.  She had her hair up in a pony tail.  She's 3'10" tall and weighs 53 pounds.

Circumstance:
Police say her mother abducted her from the Jewish Family & Community Services Center in Lakewood late Friday afternoon.
Police say the abduction happened at 4:52 p.m., after a supervised visit at the center, located in the 6200 block of Dupont Station Court. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Chatman has been known to frequent hotels, the Red Roof Inn in particular.

Of Note:  Police do not believe that Charity would harm Onnika, however, it is extremely important to locate both as Charity has been exhibiting episodes of delusional feelings of paranoia.

Update: Missing Jacksonville girl Onnika Fisher found safe

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reports that Onnika Fisher, abducted Friday afternoon by her mother, Charity Chatman, was found unharmed during a traffic stop in Perry, Ga.

Chatman was also arrested during the traffic stop in Perry, just south of Macon. She is now behind bars in the Houston County Detention Center awaiting extradition after a warrant was issued for her arrest for interference with custody, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

A nationwide Amber Alert had been issued for the missing 6-year-old girl after she was abducted during a Friday visitation at the Jewish Family and Community Services center on Jacksonville’s Southside[/url].

Chatman lost custody of her daughter in November and Onnika was put in custody of the Department of Children and Families.
