A 7-year-old girl was abducted Friday evening from in front of her Bay Area home by an unknown man who may be armed, spurring authorities to issue an Amber Alert across Northern California.
The girl, identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as Natalie Calvo, is about 3 feet tall and weighs 54 pounds. She is Asian and has black hair and brown eyes.
Natalie was last seen wearing a neon pink scarf and jacket, jeans-style gray leggings and brown boots. Her hair was in a ponytail.
The Contra Costa Times reported that the 7-year-old was abducted from outside her home in the East Bay Area city of Antioch about 6:45 p.m. The suspect was described as an Asian man between the ages of 40 and 50, possibly armed with a long black gun.
The suspect was last seen driving a "boxy" 1990s-model gold Honda away from the child’s home in the 3800 block of Hummingbird Drive.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children asks anyone with information to call the Antioch Police Department at (925) 778-2441.

Natalie Calvo Rescued by Local Woman, Hours After Abduction
By Jerrica Tisdale · 10 hours ago · Posted in the Life Channel
Amber Alert stories don’t often get instant happy endings. However, one Amber Alert was quickly stopped,in Antioch California, when a young girl was found before harm could be done to her.Natalie Calvo,7-years old,was found at a marina nearby the Antioch police station on Friday night.
Calvo went missing on that same Friday. After returning from a Walmart shopping trip,a man followed Natalie Calvo and her mother home.As Calvo’s mom was unloading the groceries from their car to their house, the perpetrator made his move.He tried to force Calvo into his van,but her mother interjected his attempt. The man responded by pulling out a gun on the woman.Next,he shoved Calvo into his van and took off.Prior to Calvo’s abduction, there were several almost abductions at the same Walmart a couple of days earlier.
Late on Friday, about three hours after the original abduction,LaShay Burks saw the suspect at the marina. His car was just parked there and he was shirtless. She became aware of Calvo’s story when her sister told her about the news report.Once she saw the suspect and his car,she called the authorities.
David Allen Douglas, 43, was the man found in the car with Calvo. He is the main suspect, and he has been identified as the kidnapper in this case.Douglas has no prior sexual assault charges, but he does have previous reports of conflicts with the police.
A reporter from the CBS San Francisco news team, Andria Borrba, filled her Twitter account yesterday with updates on how the case was unfolding. She even tweeted about how there was other abduction attempts that day and previous ones.
After some questioning,Calvo has been reunited with her parents unharmed. She now is safely at home. We’re glad to see such an unusual story, that could have become tragic, turn into a story of local heroism.

Sources tell @CBSSF that one attempted abduction yesterday happened inside Wal-Mart, the other one – outside.
