Amber Alert issued for missing 6-month-old boy

ANDERSON, MO (KTVI)– An Amber Alert has been issued for a 6-month-old boy missing from Anderson, Missouri.

The Anderson Police Department said Mitchell Farris was abducted on January 2, 2014 at 10 Riverview Dr. Apt. #2.

The suspect vehicle is a red 2004 Ford Freestar with Missouri license plate UH7D2R.

The suspects are 34-year-old Preston Farris and 30-year-old Anastasia McDaniel.

A picture of the child has not been released yet.

Anyone seeing the victim, suspects or vehicle or anyone having any information related to the abduction should immediately call 911 or call the Anderson Police Department at 417-845-2681.

Anderson police say that the child was located safe in Miami. Fl. and that the suspects are in custody.

According to a statement from the police, the Anderson Police Department received a call from the Missouri Division of Family Services in regards to a parental kidnapping.

On January 2, Preston Farris went to an apartment at the Indian Creek Apartments in Anderson. His son, Mitchell, was placed at the residence with his great grandfather by the Division of Family Services. Police say Farris left with Mitchell and did not returned him.
