A 13-year-old shot and killed a 16-year-old cousin after the two had fought over an Xbox game.
A fight over a video game led to a murder of a 16-year-old in Chicago.
A 13-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree murder in juvenile court after he admitted to police he shot his cousin while he was sleeping Sunday morning, police said, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The cousins had fought earlier over an Xbox game.
Raymond Galloway was sleeping at 5:50 a.m. Sunday when he was shot and died about 90 minutes later at a hospital, the newspaper reported.
The suspect, who was not identified, will appear in juvenile court, according to the Tribune.
Police told the newspaper the boy admitted to the shooting when interviewed with his mother present.
Police did not disclose where he got the gun and no adults have been charged, the Tribune reported.
