Amber Alert issued in Texas for 13-year-old girl

DEWITT, TX (WFLA) - The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued an Amber Alert for a missing 13-year-old girl believed to be abducted.

Phoebe Nichole Hughes, 13, was last seen Friday at 5:00 a.m. in DeWitt, Texas.

She is described as white/Hispanic female, 5'4", 150 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. Last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jean capris, and has a scar on left leg.

The alleged suspect is 34-year-old Eric Castillo. He's believed to be driving a black, 2010 Chevrolet Camaro with TX license plate number BX8B009, with a Marine Corps sticker on the back windshield.

Castillo is a white/Hispanic male, 5'2", 185 pounds with brown eyes, auburn hair.

UPDATE:  A Cuero girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert early Friday has been located and is safe, according to law enforcement officials.

There were no further details about how she was found or the status of the suspect in the case.
