Texas teens will be tried as adults in 'Satanic killing' of 15-year-old girl
Victor Alas, 16, and Jose Reyes, 17, will go to trial on adult charges in the death of Corriann Cervantes, 15, who was tortured to death at a vacant apartment painted with pentagrams. Her body had more than 60 stab wounds and apparently had been whipped.

Investigators found more than 60 stabbing wounds on Corriann Cervante’s body, in addition to whipping marks.
A Texas teen accused of slaying a girl in an attempt to sell their souls to the devil will be tried as an adult.
The charges against Victor Alas, 16, in connection to the brutal killing of Corriann Cervantes, 15, prompted a Harris County Juvenile Court judge to waive jurisdiction, according to the Beaumont Enterprise newspaper.
He will stand trial as an adult along with his co-defendant, Jose Reyes, 17, on murder charges for the February death in Clear Lake.
In what the newspaper described as a "Satanic killing," the boys allegedly whipped Cervantes, stabbed her more than 60 times with a screwdriver and strangled her.
Houston Police detectives believe the two teens abducted Cervantes and brought her to a vacant apartment. There, they painted pentagrams and an upside down crosses on the wall, according to cops.
