New Jersey mom used pillow to muffle gunfire as she shot her three children: cops

A mother in New Jersey used a pillow as a silencer when she shot each of her three children in the head, and then herself, police said Friday.

Forty-four-year-old Jeaninne LePage is in critical condition, as is her 11-year-old son, Alexander Harriman. The shootings happened Thursday, sometime between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m., authorities said.

Nadia Harriman, 8, and her brother Nicholas Harriman, 14, died at the family’s southern New Jersey home in Tabernacle.

The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office will decide whether to charge the mother “if she survives her injuries,” police said, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Authorities said the four were in the same bed. A motive has not been disclosed.

They were found by other family members in the house who came looking for them when they didn’t get up Thursday morning.

No one head any shots, the paper said.

Five other people were in the home at the time -- LePage’s sister, the sister’s husband, and their two children.
