From the beginning, the young parents gave conflicting accounts of what happened, police said, leaving investigators skeptical.
The mother said she was coming out of the bathroom when she realized a man was inside her apartment. She said he tried to take her pants off but she fought him.
The man punched her in the face, the mother said, then grabbed her baby and ran out the door.
Police said the incident happened just before midnight as the family was moving from an apartment in the 5800 block of Preston Oaks Road to another apartment seven miles away, in the 18900 block of Marsh Lane.
"I think they had to be out by today, so that's not uncommon," Dallas police Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse said. "They had a deadline to meet, so that's why they were moving late."

surrounding the baby's disappearance. The mother said a man entered the
apartment while the father was not there and tried to sexually assault
her before taking her child.Officers have combed the area

Father arrested - Mother says child was murdered by him
A Dallas father whose daughter has been missing since Tuesday night
is in jail, charged with tampering with evidence in the case.
20-year-old Alandus Weaver is the father of 9-month-old Daisja
Weaver, whose disappearance launched an Amber Alert Wednesday morning.
The father was booked into the Dallas County Jail late Saturday
night. Dallas Police say the father is a suspect in the case, but say
he has not been charged with any other crime.
Weaver spoke with CBS 11 on Friday. When asked about how people
thought the disappearance story was suspicious he got up from the
interview and walked away.
He is being held on a $100,000 bond. The Amber Alert for Daisja is
still active, but police tell CBS 11 Daisja's mother told them Saturday
she believed the girl is dead.
On Sunday Police Lieutenant C.L. Williams told CBS 11 "the mother
of the child came forward and talked to us about the disappearance. We
have uncorroborated testimony that the child had not been taken in a
kidnapping, but killed."
Williams also added the investigation was far from over. "the investigation is far from complete. We have just as many questions as you do."
Schepps Dairy and Crimestoppers are offering monetary rewards. Anyone
with information in the case are asked to call Dallas Police.

LEWISVILLE —
The mother of eight-month-old Daisja Weaver has told police that the
baby's father threw the child into Lewisville Lake last week, a
sigificant shift from her original account of assault and kidnapping. Tamaira Creagh — who is 19 years old and six months pregnant — is now under arrest. According to the arrest warrant for her 20-year-old boyfriend, Alandus
Weaver, Creagh told investigators that Weaver picked her up from work
last Monday and took her to their apartment on Marsh Lane in Dallas.
She said Weaver told her he had left the child alone after giving her a
bath. When they arrived, Creagh said she found the baby
on the floor naked, wrapped in a towel. Daisja had no heartbeat and was
cold, Creagh told police. For the next 30 minutes, Weaver
attempted to use CPR to resuscitate the child without success, Creagh
said. When she asked Weaver what happened to the child, she told
police, he became threatening and violent. Creagh said he
told her they had to stick together by saying the baby had been
kidnapped. The following day — after she got off work — she said Weaver
made her drive to Lake Lewisville with him. "He stopped on a bridge and
tied [Daisja] to a sandbag and dropped her into the lake," according to
the police affadavit of Creagh's account.
The
19-year-old mother told police that during the entire episode, she was
afraid of what Weaver might do to her because she is pregnant with his
baby, according to the affidavit. Emergency workers from
Lewisville and Highland Village and Denton County Sheriff's deputies
continued their search for the missing child on Monday morning. The
agencies were seen using boats and personal watercraft to scour an area
around and under the Interstate 35E bridge over Lewisville Lake. The search there began Sunday after Daisja's father, 20-year-old
Alandus Weaver, was named as a suspect in the child's disappearance. Creagh originally told police last week that she had been attacked in
the family's Far North Dallas apartment and that her assailant fled
with the infant. On Sunday, police said Creagh had
recanted her story about the kidnapping and provided investigators with
the information that led to the conclusion that Weaver had harmed
Daisja. Weaver was arrested late Saturday and is being held in the
Dallas County Jail on $100,000 bond on charges of tampering with
physical evidence to impair an investigation. Creagh was subsequently arresed on a similar charge. In court documents obtained by News 8 and The Dallas Morning News
, police said they have a witness who overheard Weaver telling Creagh
that she should not have let police search their apartment because
there was blood inside. Detectives were seen removing
several items from the Marsh Lane apartment, including sheets, a bath
towel, and stained baby clothing. An Amber Alert remains
in effect for Daisja Weaver. Call Dallas police at 214-671-4268 if you
have any information.

Police
records show that a mother who reported her baby missing last week now
admits to tossing her infant daughter over the Lewisville Lake bridge. The search for the small body of Diasja Weaver continued Tuesday, with
teams from multiple agencies expanding their scope beyond an area
around the Interstate 35E bridge that was their focus on Monday. Relatives of the infant said they still believe she is alive. The
Weaver family is standing by Alandus Weaver, despite mounting evidence
the 20-year-old had something to do with his young daughter's
disappearance. "I just don't believe it. I don't have a
feel for it, my grandbaby somewhere around here, she's somewhere," said
the child's grandfather, Alandus Weaver Sr. "If they put
that baby in the lake, that would really hurt me, because that's an
innocent child that can't even defend herself," said Deamber Johnson,
the suspect's cousin. They are still hopeful the
nine-month-old child lives, despite what police say was a chilling
confession Monday morning from her mother, Tamaira Creagh. She allegedly told officers that she and her boyfriend tied the baby's
corpse to a sandbag and dropped her in Lewisville Lake last week. "Until we find the baby, we can't confirm what she's telling us is 100
percent accurate," said Dallas police spokesman Kevin Janse. Two days of searching in Lake Lewisville hasn't yielded a body. From the beginning, police say, the mother has lied. "I just want
whoever has my little girl to bring her back," Creagh told reporters
last week. File / WFAA-TV
A tearful Tamaira Creagh last week told reporters her baby had been kidnapped.
Now, court documents say the 19-year-old mother admits she left the
baby in Weaver's care last week, but when she returned home, Daisja was
lying on the floor naked, wrapped in a towel. She was cold, without a
heartbeat. Scared by Weaver's threats, Creagh told police
they waited until the next day to dump the young child's body, a
scenario family members find hard to believe. "It just
hurts," Johnson said. "Just imagine having a nine-month-old child in
your family missing. It hurts, it really hurts." Police
have only charged Creagh and Weaver with tampering with evidence
because there is no body. They say they believe it is just a matter of
time before they find the body. The mother's family tells

searching for 9-month-old Daisja Weaver in Lewisville Lake since Sunday

that they have not found the child. "Horrors is what we're

Re: DAISJA WEAVER - 9 months - Dallas TX
Dive teams are combing through a massive area searching for nine month
old Daisja Weaver at Lewisville lake. Investigators say the baby's
father dumped the child's body in the water.
Divers from the Lewisville fire department spend the day searching this
stretch of water near the I-35E bridge. The team is searching here
because it's where investigators believe Alandus Weaver,20, dumped his
nine month old daughter Daisja. Water can reach 67 feet deep and
isfilled with debris.
Emergency crews say the biggest problem divers would be facing right
now would be visibility that's because once they're so far down they're
literally feeling their way around.
Lewisville Fire Captain Richard Lee says, " Everything that they do is by touch. you cannot see anything beyond the surface."
With a coverage area of nearly 30,000 square feet, the work is tedious
as divers work grid after grid. Just a few hundred yards away in the
shadow of all the searching a young father watches while fishing.
Eduardo Sauceda, 20, says, " It makes people our age look somewhat bad, as unstable parents or what not."
He says he can relate to the stresses of fatherhood , but not to tossing a childs body in a lake.

DALLAS
— Dallas police have suspended the Lake Lewisville search for a missing 9-month-old girl.
The search for Daisja Weaver began last week after her 19-year-old mother,
Tamaira Creagh, said a man broke into her apartment and kidnapped the
baby. But investigators were suspicious of that claim from the start.
They arrested Creagh on a tampering with evidence charge, and she told
police they dumped the child's body into the lake with a sandbag tied
to it after she died while in her father's care. The father,
20-year-old Alandus Weaver, was arrested on suspicion of tampering or
fabricating evidence to hinder an investigation.
The last search in the lake took place Wednesday.

Re: DAISJA WEAVER - 9 months - Dallas TX
The search for a 9-month-old baby in Lake Lewisville has been suspended, Dallas police said today. Dallas police Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse said Lewisville Fire Department
divers have searched the location provided by the child’s mother
despite the poor visibility underwater and treacherous lake conditions.
The search was suspended Wednesday afternoon, but the
investigation continues into the child's disappearance and a $15,000
reward remains in effect, Janse said. The search for
Daisja started last week after her mother Tamaira Creagh, 19, reported
that her daughter had been kidnapped from their Far North Dallas
apartment. Dallas police said the parents had provided conflicting reports surrounding the girl’s disappearance. Creagh later told authorities that she had found her daughter’s body in
their apartment on June 8 and that the baby’s father Alandus Weaver,
20, made her drive to the lake. Weaver, 20, is accused of tying a sand bag to his dead daughter and tossing her body from the bridge. Weaver and Creagh have been arrested on charges of tampering with evidence. Creagh's attorneys said in a written statement that their client is the
victim of long-term domestic abuse by Weaver. Creagh, who is six months

been suspended, and police have cancelled the Amber Alert. Officers say
evidence and testimony from the mother suggests the baby is dead, and
detectives have nothing to refute that.
Investigators say the
mother of Daisja Weaver had reported the child kidnapped, but later
told police they should look in the lake, near the I-35 bridge.
The
girl's parents have been arrested for tampering with evidence, and

Father now charged with Capital Murder; Corpus delecti
DALLAS —
There has been a big development in the case of nine-month-old Daisja
Weaver, who has now been missing for more than a month. Police belive that the infant was tossed from a bridge over Lewisville Lake by her parents on June 9. Now they have charged Daisja's father, Alandus Weaver, with capital
murder — even though the child's body was never found in the murky
waters. When Daisha was first reported missing from her
far North Dallas apartment, her mother, 19-year-old Tamaira Creagh,
told police that the baby had been kidnapped during an attempted sexual
assault. Police now believe they have the full story about what happened to the baby. Investigators say Alandus Weaver, 20, has told them he accidentally
drowned the baby while giving her a bath on June 8. He said he poured
too much water over her head and she drowned. Weaver and
Creagh told police they then panicked and put the dead child in a car
overnight. The next day they finally disposed of the body in Lewisville
Lake. The parents then concocted their story of the
mother being attacked, and they faked an assault by having Weaver beat
Creagh. Weaver faces a charge of capital murder; Creagh is still charged with witness tampering. The search for Daisja Weaver's body was abandoned after an intensive
effort, but police now feel that with the father's confession, they
have enough evidence to prosecute.

Re: DAISJA WEAVER - 9 months - Dallas TX
Testimony started Tuesday in Denton for the murder trial of a Dallas man
accused of killing his 9-month-old daughter and throwing her body into
Lewisville Lake.
Alandus Weaver was arrested last June and charged in the murder last
after the baby's disappearance launched an Amber Alert.
In Tuesday's testimony people who know Weaver and his girlfriend Tamaira
Creagh say she was a scared young woman who did what an abusive
boyfriend to her to do. They tried to show Weaver as the one who killed
their daughter.
One after another those who witnessed the story go from an alleged
kidnapping to elaborate hoax took the stand in the Denton County Courts
building.
Tamaira Creagh's mother and aunt testified that Creagh had an abusive
relationship with Weaver. Her mother testified Tamaira's collarbone had
been broken while she was still pregnant with Daisja. Creagh told her
mother she had tripped on the stairs.
The family pastor also took the stand. Robert Canady was the one Tamaira
confessed to while her mother and aunts sat by her side. "She told me
that the baby was dead. That the father threw the baby over the bridge
in Lake Lewisville."
Pastor Canady pushed Tamaira to go to police the next day, and she did.
"She could no longer live with that guilt of covering something up that
would be uncovered anyhow. The best thing happened - she came forward
and told us where the baby was."
Even though Daisja's body still has not been recovered, Tamaira herself
took the stand Tuesday. She says Alandus took her to the lake the day
after the baby died, tying the legs to a sandbag and dropping the body
into the lake off the I-35 bridge.
She says Weaver made her check that the baby was gone. She says she
objected, but he pushed her to. She told jurors she watched as her
daughter's head went under. She says she did everything Weaver told her
to because she was scared.
Those who know Creagh say they believe she was coerced into lying what
happened to her child by Weaver. "I pray that she finds peace and
justice takes its place" says Canady.
Testimony will continue in the trial Wednesday, when the defense is
expected to take over.
