An East Texas man has been sentenced to 50
years in prison for the murder of a 16-month-old girl.
The child was reported missing from her
Cookville home.
Police found the girl's body in a plastic bag
buried in a shallow grave behind her step father's home.
Michael Shane Charlton, 43, plead guilty in a
Titus County court for the January 2009 death of 16-month-old Katie
Marie Fry, his common law wife's child.
