WESH analyst says Jose Baez is not focusing on issues that will help his client

The latest in the Casey Anthony case:

Her attorney Jose Baez wants to interview five more jail employees about that tape of Anthony's reaction on the day Caylee's remains were found, WESH-Channel 2 reported. Prosecutors say Baez is "is trying to deflect attention from the evidence in the case and focus on bogus claims of government misconduct," WESH's Bob Kealing reported. Prosecutors are asking Judge Stan Strickland to decide what to do with the tape without having a hearing about the issue, Kealing added.

Anthony is charged with the first-degree murder of her daughter Caylee.

Defense attorney Richard Hornsby, who offers legal analysis for WESH, gave a blunt assessment of Baez: "You have an inexperienced lawyer who might be in a little over his head who's not focusing on the real issues in the case that will really help Miss Anthony at the end of the day."

In other news:

***Chicago attorney Andrea Lyon has been admitted to the Anthony defense team. Judge Stan Strickland issued an order approving Lyon, WESH anchor Jim Payne said.

***Anthony Lazzaro, Anthony's former boyfriend, is fighting letting her defense team have access to his phone records. Defense attorney Jose "Baez wants to go back more than a year, and Lazzaro argues that would be an invasion of his privacy," WESH's Kealing reported.

***WFTV-Channel 9 noted that it has been year since the toddler was last seen alive. "Casey waited until July to tell detectives she hadn't seen her little
girl since June 16," anchor Vanessa Welch said.

***In an interview with WESH's Michelle Meredith, Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch talked about the search for Caylee Anthony. "Tim says the search for Caylee just about bankrupt him -- financially and emotionally," Meredith said.

Miller is back in Central Florida looking for missing Tracy Ocasio.

Meredith added: "Tim Miller says that the search for Caylee Anthony did help him establish his Florida base of volunteers, which has made today's search possible."
