ORLANDO -- Casey Anthony's lead attorney has taken on his next case.

Jose Baez has confirmed to us that he is in Aruba -- but not on vacation.

He said he's helping a Maryland businessman in jail in there, accused of killing his travel companion whose body has not been found.

Jose Baez became a regular TV presence during the Casey Anthony case, and he could be back soon in a big way because of another headline-making case.

Baez has been hired to represent Gary Giordano, who is being held in Aruba in the disappearance of Robyn Gardner.

ABC News says that Baez confirmed that he will be joining Giordano’s defense team and was in Aruba on the case. TMZ reports that Baez will consult on forensic evidence in the case.

His hiring means that Baez is almost certainly going to be making more TV appearances to discuss the new case.

Where will he go? “Geraldo at Large,” “Issues With Jane Velez-Mitchell,” “Today” and Barbara Walters are all possibilities. Baez talked to them during and after the Anthony trial.

Nancy Grace has focused heavily on the Aruba case, too. Could Baez’s involvement heighten her interest?
