ALEXIS SHERMAN - 13 yo - Conway SC

Police are looking for a Conway girl they say ran away from her home Monday night and has not been seen since.

According
to Horry County Police Lt. Jamie DeBari, Alexis Samone Sherman, 13, was
reported as a runaway around 9:45 p.m. Monday August 3rd. Her last known contact
was a cell phone conversation with a friend on a cell phone after she
left her home in Conway. The teenager is described as a
13-year-old black girl standing 5-5 and 120 pounds with black hair and
brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and light blue
pants. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call the Horry County Police at 843-248-1300 or 915-TIPS (8477).

The family of a runaway teen says she returned home Saturday night. According
to Horry County Police Lt. Jamie DeBari, Alexis Samone Sherman, 13, was
reported as a runaway around 9:45 p.m. last Monday. Her last known
contact was a cell phone conversation with a friend after she left her
home in Conway. Sherman's grandmother says the teen "just got
tired of being cooped up in the house," and went to North Carolina to
visit a guy she met on MySpace. Sherman, according to family,
returned home on her own will, was not hurt and did not appear to have
been lured to North Carolina. She made the trip, her grandmother says,
on her own free will.
