ROOSEVELT BRADLEY III - 8 months (2009) Orange County FL
Another dad kills his baby in florida. WTH is wrong with these so-called parents. I feel like KC has started a new trend in child killings. Very sad.... Tom thought I might help you out with this one since I know you are at church this a.m.

Homicide detectives have arrested a father in connection with the
murder of his 8-month-old son. Orange County Sheriffs investigators
arrested 27-year-old Roosevelt Bradley, II after they were called to
Arnold Palmer Hospital on Friday night to investigate the death of
Bradley’s son, Roosevelt Bradley, III.
On Saturday afternoon,
the medical examiner's office determined the baby was murdered.
Bradley's neighbors are in shock. "I can't believe a father would do
such a thing," said Marie Espinoza. "If he didn't want the baby, they
could have dropped the baby off at a fire station, the police station,
the hospital, even my house and I would have taken care of him,"
another neighbor by the name of Lenny Greenburg said. Investigators
say the child's mother Elizabeth Bradley, who does not live with the
suspect, dropped off the baby boy and his twin sister at their father's
home around noon Thursday at the Harbor Beach Condos. Police say
then at seven in the evening on Friday 9-1-1 was called, Bradley told
the operator his son was sick. Officials say Bradley called the child's
mother before calling 9-1-1 for help. The little boy died at
Arnold Palmer hospital and doctors determined his injuries were
provoked. Investigators interviewed Bradley at the hospital and
arrested him on one count of aggravated child abuse. Due to the
autopsy results, the Medical Examiner said it was a homicide and the
child's father was arrested. "I'm glad he is in jail," said Wanda
Vargas who lives across the hall. Bradley will also be charged with first degree murder. He has been booked in the Orange County Jail. His first appearance in front of a judge is Sunday.

An Orange County judge denied bond to Roosevelt Bradley Sunday
afternoon on a first-degree murder charge in the death of his infant
son.Sheriff's deputies arrived Friday night at Arnold Palmer
Hospital for Children after hospital staff notified them of the death
of Roosevelt Bradley III. According to the arrest affidavit, the child
had a skull fracture and retinal hemorrhage.According to the
arrest affidavit, Elizabeth Bradley said she and Roosevelt Bradley, who
are married but not living together, met at a McDonald's nearby so the
father could visit his children, a set of fraternal twins, one boy and
one girl. Roosevelt Bradley took the children back to his apartment
where he said he fed them. There were some time discrepancies in
his story, which kept changing. He said his son was having trouble
breathing. He called his wife and told her baby Roosevelt was getting
worse and she told him to call 911.The child was transported by ambulance to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Re: ROOSEVELT BRADLEY III - 8 months (2009) Orange County FL
An Orange County man accused of killing his 8-month-old son will remain behind bars, a circuit court judge decided this morning.
During a nearly 45-minute hearing that included testimony from a
homicide detective -- who started to choke up on the stand when
describing the baby's injuries -- a state prosecutor successfully
argued why Roosevelt Bradley should stay locked up.
Defense attorney Peter Schmer wanted the judge to grant Bradley bond so he could be released from jail.
Bradley's infant son, Roosevelt Bradley III, was rushed to the hospital
from his father's apartment Aug. 7. The baby was not breathing and died
at the hospital.
During today's hearing, Orange County sheriff's homicide Detective
Dorothy Rivera explained that a doctor described the infant's skull as
"mooshy." The baby had retinal bleeding, and medical experts believed
the injuries were "non-accidental."
The medical examiner ruled out that the injuries could have been caused
by a fall, and said that the type of skull injuries would have led to
an immediate coma and death, Rivera said.
The medical examiner also described the baby's injuries as "fresh," and
Rivera said she does not believe it's a "shaken baby" case.
Rivera also testified that the baby's mother, who was staying at a
domestic violence shelter, dropped Roosevelt Bradley III and his twin
sister off with their father the day before he died.
After the baby died, Rivera said, the adult Bradley showed no reaction.
Bradley changed his story about what happened to the baby several
times, Rivera said, and because of that she never got a clear time line
of that day.
She said Bradley once said he thought the baby's twin sister hit him
over the head with an object, but the detective said that wouldn't be
possible because the baby girl wasn't even strong enough to pull
herself up.
Prosecutor Robin Wilkinson said an autopsy concluded the death was not
accidental. She cited a list of head injuries, including a skull
fracture, contusions and hemmorage.
Wilkinson said Bradley, though he changed his story several times, put himself alone with the baby at the time.
Defense attorney Schmer argued that Bradley never confessed, and said the state's case is circumstantial.
Bradley spoke briefly during the hearing and told the judge he would live his sister. He said his family is supportive of him.
But Circuit Judge F. Rand Wallis said the state met it's burden of proof for the capital case.
Wallis said there would be no bond for the first-degree murder charge,
and set bond at $100,000 for an aggravated child abuse charge he also
faces.

well what about the other victim in the case the mother
ripbabyrose- Cricket Tracker
Re: ROOSEVELT BRADLEY III - 8 months (2009) Orange County FL
the report doesn't indicate the mother was attacked - only the baby. i do wonder if this is the first time he has ever injured his children - did the mother witness abuse in the past? hopefully this will all come out at trial.

Re: ROOSEVELT BRADLEY III - 8 months (2009) Orange County FL
Hello, I am a new member. My best friend is Elizabeth Bradley. Her son Roosevelt Bradley III was murdered by his father at 8 months old. For two days now I have sat at trial awaiting a conviction. Elizabeth had separated from him due to domestic violence, and had removed her older daughter(not his child) from the home also. SHE IS NOT ALLOWED TO SAY HE ABUSED HER, her child, or that she was in a domestic violence shelter. This is a travesty. Why do child killers get such rights? Why can't the jury know her repeatedly abused several people. And WHY, for gods sake didn't the state of Florida take this violent persons visitation rights? I am devastated and hoping for a conviction. Please pray for Elizabeth, and for gods sake, help hear the voices of women and children who are in bad situations. Thank you

Roosevelt Bradley II, was sentenced to Life in prison at 8:30 am this morning. He was sentenced after the Jury brought a Guilty verdict back on all three of the following; 2nd degree Murder, Child Abuse, and Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child. This sentence was handed to him the day before his birthday. Happy birthday you loser.

I know. The saddest thing is that I don't believe one baby is more important than another. How could they give him no coverage. The jury was back in at 4 pm Friday. They sentenced this am.

THANK YOU for the update and am so glad to hear that baby Roosevelt has received some justice for his senseless death. So glad the jury saw the truth quickly and found him guilty. Hope he dies in prison so he can never hurt another baby again. Again, sorry for your loss but glad there is some justice. I know it will never take away the pain, but at least this monster will pay with life in prison.
