Police in Westbrook, Maine have sought the public's help in finding a missing boy who may be in Massachusetts.
Police said Gene Carter violated a court order by taking his five-year-old son Devon out of state.
Carter was last seen driving a gray 1991 Cadillac Deville in Tewksbury, Massachusetts last Saturday, according to investigators.
Carter, described as six-feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds,
and his son could be in Chelsea. Police said that they are concerned
about Devon's welfare.
"The fact that the father was seen out of state on Saturday, the
interstate nature of this adds to our concern," Chief William Baker
said. "We're actively seeking a warrant for his arrest for a Class C
felony for criminal restraint by a parent, but our first concern is to
get the child located and reunited with his mother."

Westbrook police say 5-year-old Devon Carter has been re-united with
his mother. Devon's father, 52-year-old Gene Carter of Gorham, has been
arrested and charged with violating a protection order and criminal
restraint by a parent. Police caught up with Carter at his home on Goodale Street in Gorham Thursday morning after receiving an anonymous tip.
