SHALONDA McGUIRE - 17 yo Disabled - Detroit MI

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit Police need your help to find a 17-year-old girl who has been missing since Sunday.

Shalonda McGuire disappeared from Chandler Park. Witnesses say she got into a car with a woman and several children.

Shalonda
is developmentally disabled, and has been living at the New Directions
residential facility. She is about 5'2" tall and about 120 pounds. She
does need to take daily medication.

Seventeen-year-old Shalonda McGuire was last seen Sunday evening at the
Chandler Park pool on Detroit's east side and witnesses now tell Fox 2
she may have left with a woman she described as her "auntie."
Shalonda, mentally impaired, was at the pool on an outing with New Directions, the court-ordered facility where she lives.
"Shalonda may not have been taken against her will," Nancy Anderson
of New Directions told Fox 2. "She may have gone with somebody
willingly. But it would have been as easy as for someone to say to her
'I am your relative. I'm your aunt. And it's okay to come with me."
New Directions Director Steve Nett said Sholanda was seen talking
with an African American woman in "a very bright, flowery" bathing suit
who she told friends was her "auntie."

Meanwhile, a 17-year-old Detroit girl who went missing Sunday has been located. Shalonda McGuire had last been seen attending a group outing in Chandler Park, on the city's east side. About
4 p.m. Thursday, police located the teen in Flint, where she was with
her biological mother. The girl later was returned to her home in
Detroit.
