Authorities are searching for a pair of female teenagers who went
missing over the weekend at a home in the victinity of Temecula.

According
to authorities, Alexis “Lexi” Bailey, 15, and Julianne Buzzelli, 16,
were spending the night at Bailey's home Friday evening and went
outside but have not been seen since. Neither teen has access to a car,
according to police.According to a father of one of the girls,
who both are students at Temecula Preparatory School, neither teen is
considered someone who would run away.Police did say that
Buzzelli reportedly used her cell phone shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday
in an effort to locate a cab at the Pechanga Casino. Neither girl has
been heard from since.Anyone with information on the case should call the Riverside County Sheriff's Department at (951) 776-1099.

Riverside sheriff's detectives are searching for two teenage girls
who disappeared from a home near Temecula Friday night and haven't been
seen since.

Julianne Buzzelli, 16, and Alexis “Lexi” Bailey, 15, were
spending the night at Alexis' home Friday night and went outside with
nothing but the clothes on their back. Neither has a driver's license
or a car, Lexi's father, Michael Bailey said. Michael Bailey is the
Regional Golf Course Superintendent at Warner Springs Ranch Golf Club
in northeast San Diego County.
Bailey said it would be completely out of character for
his daughter or her friend, both students at the Temecula Preparatory
School, to run off.
“Investigators are concerned because it's been kind of
long,” Bailey said. “Detectives are going to actively start following
up on leads today,” he said Monday morning.
Riverside Sheriff's Sgt. Dennis Gutierrez said Monday
afternoon that three detectives are involved. He also said, however,
that “all leads in this investigation indicate the girls have run
away.”
He would not elaborate.
Julianne had a cell phone, and records show a call was placed at 2:45 a.m. Saturday
requesting a taxi at the Pechanga Casino, which is 10 miles from the
Bailey house in the French Valley Winchester area of Temecula.
No further calls have been made, and the phone has been shut off, phone records show.

Bailey said the cab company has no record of having picked up two girls near the casino.

Fliers showing photos of the girls and contact information are being distributed throughout the Temecula area.

Unfortunately, it is with sad or scary news that I am contacting everyone. My next door neighbor and good friend, Donna Buzzelli’s 16 year daughter Julianne and her best friend Alexis ‘Lexi’ Bailey have been missing since Friday night. The girls were spending the night at the Bailey home and got the not so bright idea to sneak out in the middle of the night to attend what they told one friend was a party. No one knows where this party was or who was giving this party. Neither of the two girls can drive. Only Julianne had a cellphone which has either been turned off or the battery has died. According to phone logs a man in Escondido had been in contact with Julianne that several times that evening, and was one of the last out going calls besides one to check her voicemail. He is denying any connection or even knowing the girls at this time. No one has heard from either of the two girls since that evening. A police report was filed with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dept. You can only imagine how terrifying this situation is for the families of these two girls. Please forward this email and flyer to as many people as possible and keep the families in your prayers.

Police continue to search for two Temecula-area teenage girls who have not been seen since late Friday.

Alexis “Lexi” Bailey, 15, and Julianne Buzzelli, 16, were last seen
at 11:45 p.m. when they left Bailey's home in the French Valley
Winchester area, where they had been having a sleepover.

Authorities consider the girls to be runaways because they left the
house on their own accord. What has happened to them since is a
mystery.

Candlelight vigils have been ongoing for several nights, and a Web
site — findbuzzellibailey.com — has been created. Lexi's father,
Michael Bailey, said the outpouring of concern from community members,
who have posted fliers throughout the area, has been overwhelming.

Police told the families that Julianne's cell phone was used about
2:45 a.m. Saturday to call for a taxi near the Pechanga casino about 10
miles from Bailey's home. However, the taxi company has no record of
picking up the girls.

Riverside Sheriff's Department spokesman Sgt. Dennis Gutierrez said
detectives continue to follow up leads, but based on the way the girls
left the house, they are classified as runaways rather than “at risk”
missing youths.

“Right now we're just trying to find the girls to reunite them with
their families who are going through a lot of anguish,” he said.

Gutierrez said there have been no sightings of the girls, but he declined to discuss specifics about the investigation.

Sheriff's
investigators located two teen girls, who touched off a wave of
community concern after apparently sneaking away from a French Valley
home last Friday night, at a San Bernardino apartment Thursday,
authorities said.
Julianne Buzzelli, 16, of Murrieta, was spending the night at the
home of her friend, 15-year-old Alexis "Lexi" Bailey, last week when
the two slipped out of the house before midnight.
Investigators had yet to interview the girls early Thursday evening
but sheriff's officials said they do not appear to have been held
against their will and had left of their own accord. Capt. Andre
O'Harra of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said investigators
tracked the girls from the Temecula area to Manhattan Beach to San
Bernardino.
The girls' family, friends and other volunteers have been canvassing
the area all week posting fliers, sending e-mail blitzes and holding
vigils for their safe return.
"We're very, very, very happy," Lexi's father, Mike Bailey, said early Thursday evening.
The girls' parents initially said a call had been placed near
Pechanga Resort & Casino early Saturday from Julianne's cell phone,
touching off speculation that the girls had been at the casino. O'Harra
said those reports turned out to be false.
Among the leads that helped investigators locate the girls was store
surveillance camera footage that showed them buying a disposable cell
phone in Manhattan Beach, O'Harra said.
Before 5 p.m., with the help of San Bernardino police, sheriff's
investigators descended on the apartment where the girls were staying.
They were being returned to French Valley for questioning.

It was 5:30 p.m. when Michael Bailey got the call that his daughter Alexis and her friend had been found and they were believed to be safe. Since the day the girls went missing, Bailey said, he had been driving around Southern California searching for them, spending a few hours each night in hotels.
“They are alive, we have them, and we are extremely happy,” Bailey said. “And the support we got from the community was overwhelming.”
As of Thursday, Bailey had gotten over 1,000 e-mails from people that wanted to help. Right before they were found, a trucking company had offered to put large posters of the girls on 400 trucks, he said.
“I have never seen anything like it,” Bailey said. “It is unbelievable what the community has done for us.”
As for the cost of the investigation into the girls’ disappearance six days ago, Gutierrez said the sheriff’s department will not seek to recoup its money. Gutierrez declined to discuss information about where the girls have been or anything else turned up during the course of the investigation. If the families want to talk about it, he said, that would be up to them.
“Most of it will probably come out later,” Bailey said. And while he received many phone calls during this trying time, his cell phone will be turned off for a while.
“We are going to be enjoying some family time,” he said.
The Buzzelli family could not be reached for comment.
