SAAIMOANA MIGAE - 16 yo - Temecula CA
An 11th grade girl dropped off at her high school in Temecula Thursday
did not show up for class and was reported missing, a school official
said.
The girl was dropped off in front of Chaparral High School
at 6 a.m. and spoke with her mother on a cell phone a short time later
but never went to class, said Superintendent Carol Leighty of the
Temecula Valley Unified School District.
Her backpack was later found on campus, said district spokeswoman Melanie Norton.
Temecula
police are treating the disappearance as a missing child case, as there
is no evidence the girl was abducted, Leighty said.
School officials did not release the name of the student.
