State Police are looking for a 2-year-old boy they say was taken illegally by his father.

On June 23, J'von Flores' mother allowed the boy's father, Carlos
Flores, 28, to take him to Amsterdam for an overnight visit. Afterward,
Flores allegedly refused to return the child. Flores
and the boy's mother have been in contact since then but Flores missed
a Family Court date July 29 and the mother asked the court to issue a
warrant, said State Trooper Maureen Tuffey. which State Police followed
with a criminal warrant. Flores and his son may still be in the
Capital Region. Anyone with any information on either the child or the
father can contact the State Police in Clifton Park at 583-7000 or the

police, J'von Flores is two feet, two inches tall . He has brown hair
and brown eyes. Carlos Flores is Hispanic. He has black hair, brown
eyes and a slender build. He is six feet, three inches tall and weighs
180 pounds.

2-year-old J'von Flores of Amsterdam has been missing since June. State
Police believe the boy's father, Carlos Flores, took him during a
custody dispute. At first, police believed the two were still in the
area. But now, the search has been expanded.

"We do have some
information that he could be in Virginia or he could be in a state
traveling between here and Virginia," says Trooper with Maureen Tuffey,
with the State Police.

Police now need your help tracking them
down. Carlos is a 28-year-old hispanic male, 6-feet 3-inches tall and
180 pounds. J'von has brown hair and brown eyes, is 2-feet 2-inches
tall and weighs 35 pounds.

"If you know someone who has heard from them, we're looking for anything," Tuffey says.

It's
a plea to the public one man knows all to well. John Walsh, host of
America's Most Wanted, suffered the loss of his own son who was
kidnapped and murdered in the late 1980s. Walsh was in Saratoga today
and spoke with us about the many missing children cases featured on his
show each week.

"We've worked some cases long term. Elizabeth
Smart was gone 8 months when a couple viewers spotted the guy that
kidnapped her," Walsh recalls.

Walsh calls that kind of happy
ending a miracle. Most recently, he points to 29-year-old Jaycee Lee
Dugard. She was kidnapped in front of her California home 18-years-ago
and was finally reunited with her family just last week.

"It's an absolute blessing and it taught me one thing I always tell parents," Walsh says. "Never give up."

State Police announced today a toddler allegedly taken by his father in June has been found safe in Virginia.

Trooper Maureen Tuffey said in a statement Carlos Flores, 28, called
his son's mother Saturday and told her where to find 2-year-old J'von
Flores in Virginia. Mother and son have been reunited, Carlos Flores
remains on the run. He is wanted by police for felony custodial
interference.On
