DEVANTE AVERY - 15 yo - East Cleveland OH

Investigators need your help locating a 15-year-old boy. East
Cleveland Mayor Eric Brewer said Devante Avery has been missing from
his East Cleveland home since Aug. 29.

He lives on East 143rd Street.The
teenager left home last Saturday at 11 a.m. He was seen leaving his
paternal grandmother's home on his bicycle and with the family's
Labrador Retriever.Devante is 5 feet 10 inches tall and wieghs
150 pounds. He's described as being articulate, good-natured and
respectful. There has been no activity on his MySpace account since
August 29 when he sent a message to his ROTC advisor.The mayor has asked firefighters to distribute his picture to stores near his home.If you have any information on his whereabouts, contact East Cleveland police at 216-324-3986.

Center being checked out. Brewer said he doesn't have many details yet
but that the boy appears to be OK.Avery hadn't been seen since Aug. 29 when he left his grandmother's East Cleveland home on his bike.Earlier on Tuesday, the teen's grandmother, father and Brewer reached out to the community to help find the boy.Devante left the East 143rd Street home because he was upset about a disagreement at home.He took off on his bike with his Labrador retriever. The dog returned home the same day, but Devante did not.During a news conference, the boy's grandmother made an emotional plea for help."I
want to know if my child is breathing or not. If he's breathing, I know
he's OK. Will somebody please help us?" said Mary Cardwell.
