SOROYA KELLY - 13 yo - Sunrise FL
Three people, including a 13-year-old girl, were found shot to death early Sunday by police responding to a domestic disturbance call.
Police said they broke down the locked door of a bedroom in the house at 8120 NW 21st St. just before 2 a.m. and discovered the bodies.
In addition to the teenager, the dead included a 35-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, according to Sunrise police Lt. Brian Gerity.
At the house, friends of the family identified the deceased as Quincy Kelly, his wife Lisa, and the couples' daughter Soroya.
"No one knows exactly what happened," said Sam Mitchell.
Mitchell was one of dozens of people who rushed to the suburban neighborhood at mid-morning after word of the deaths was announced by the Rev. Earl Henry during services at the Episcopal Church of the Atonement in Lauderdale Lakes. The Kelly family worshiped there.
Gerity said that police who responded to the call were directed to a locked back bedroom of the single-family residence by family members. Mitchell said that Kelly's mother, Fay Kelly, and his aunt also live at the house.
Mitchell described Fay Kelly and the aunt, whose name he did not know, as too shaken by the killings to speak to reporters.
Veronica Chester, who lives across the street from the Kellys, said, "You would never expect this in our neighborhood."
Mitchell described Kelly as "one happy person, very humorous." He said he spoke to Kelly Thursday. "There was no sign of anything like this," said Mitchell.
Kelly and his wife were natives of Jamaica, said Mitchell, as are many members of the Church of the Atonement.
Mitchell said Kelly worked with computers and loved cars. In front of the house were at least two vehicles offered for sale. A voice message at a phone number on the cars identified the seller as Sunrise Auto Brokers.
Sunrise police said the investigation into the deaths continues.

Three people are dead in what Sunrise police are investigating as a double murder suicide.
Shortly before 2 a.m. police officers were sent to 8120 NW 21st Street to check out reports of a domestic disturbance. Once at the residence, officers were directed to a back bedroom door by family members, according to police Lt. Brian Gerity.
The officers repeatedly tried to get those in the room to speak with them with no response. They finally forced the door open and found three bodies inside the room; all had been shot to death.

Re: SOROYA KELLY - 13 yo - Sunrise FL
Authorities continue to investigate the death of a 13-year-old girl and her parents.
Police found Soroya Kelly, her mother, Lisa and her father, Quincy shot to death in a bedroom in their home located at 8120 NW 21st Street Sunday morning. Officials said the bedroom door was locked from the inside.
Relatives of the Kelly family told reporters that this was a double murder-suicide. Authorities have not confirmed this information. Officials continue to investigate and interview people but police said they are not looking for any suspects.
Neighbors are shocked by the news because they said the church-going family never had any problems, however, the father had recently lost his job. "Very mellow person for him to, for something like that to happen it's not in character," said Bill Houlihan.
A family friend is confused as to how something like this could happen. "As to what would trigger something like this, don't know, don't know what prompted all of this," said Sam Mitchell.
Soroya was a student at Pine Middle School.
