Re: TARA SIMHISER - 17 yo - Marion County KS
Authorities say the man
captured on surveillance video wandering around northeast Kansas high
schools may have abducted a teenager from Marion County.
An Amber Alert was issued just before 6pm Wednesday for for Tara Renee Simhiser.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office says Simhiser was last seen around 3pm
Tuesday in Marion County. She's believed to be with 21-year old Rojelio
Hernandez.
The Sheriff's Office says they at first believed Simhiser went willingly, but
information in their investigation led them to discover that may not
have been the case. They said they learned of some "physical contact"
that led them to issue the Amber Alert Wednesday, signaling she may be
in danger. They would not elaborate on just what the contact was.
The Sheriff's Office says surveillance video from a Topeka business
indicates they may have been in the Capital City Tuesday night.
Late Wednesday, however, the KBI said new tips led them to believe the pais spotted in the Wichita area Wednesday night.
Ksamber.org/ released this information about the alert:

Re: TARA SIMHISER - 17 yo - Marion County KS
A Kansas teen missing since Tuesday found safe was dating the man suspected of taking her against her will.
An alert bank teller recognized 17-year-old Tara Simhiser in Hiawatha
Thursday morning when she and 21-year-old Rojelio Hernandez tried to
cash a check.
The teller stalled them enough to call police. Officers arrived and took Simhiser
into protective custody and arrested Hernandez outside in his car.
Simhiser's neighbor tells KAKE News the two had been dating for about a month. "He
was a con artist. He lied about everything," said Amy Pennington. She
said Simhiser had fallen hard for the older man not knowing he was a
wanted criminal.
