police issued a county-wide bulletin Thursday afternoon after a San
Jose kidnapping suspect was reported seen on Tuttle Avenue and later
heading for Monterey County on Highway 129.San Jose police
issued an amber alert Tuesday morning for two suspects in a parental
abduction. The suspects were the parents of the victims, but did not
have legal custody of the young children, police said.San Jose
police say they believe Francisco J. Arellano, 42, entered a Snell
Avenue residence while Estella Arias, 38, waited in their vehicle. Arellano
allegedly pushed the legal guardian of the children to the ground and
grabbed his 3-month-old daughter, Ashley Arias, and told his son,
Francisco Arias, 9, to follow him out of the house.

They fled
in a 1998 red Ford Expedition, license plate of 5FDA993, police said.
Authorities believe the suspects may be headed down to Mexico.Watsonville
police initiated Project ROPE around 5 p.m. Thursday, which alerts all
county law enforcement to be on the lookout for the vehicle and
Arellano and Arias, but canceled it after the vehicle was seen heading
on Highway 129 toward Monterey County.Watsonville police said Arellano was seen earlier running from a residence on Tuttle and East Lake avenues.Arellano is described as short and chubby, last seen wearing a white shirt with red Cincinnati baseball cap.Police ask anyone with information to call 866-333-SJPD (7573) or Detective

Police are still looking for a 9-year-old boy and his 3-month-old sister who were abducted from San Jose on Tuesday.

Francisco Arias Jr. and his sister Ashley were allegedly taken by their
father, Francisco Arias, 42, and mother Estella Arias, 38, police said.
The parents are not the children's legal guardians.

They were last seen driving a red Ford Expedition with license plate number 5FDA933.

Police issued a statewide alert, but the suspects and their vehicle
have not been seen, San Jose police Officer Jermaine Thomas said Friday
afternoon.

He declined to elaborate on the case, saying simply that there were no updates.

He said he didn't know if any law enforcement agencies outside the
state were alerted about the missing family, but said border patrol had
been informed.

Francisco Arias Jr. is Hispanic, about 3 feet tall and weighs 65 pounds
with black hair and brown eyes. Ashley Arias is 21 inches tall and
weighs 9 pounds. She also has black hair and brown eyes.

Francisco Arias is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He
has black hair and dark eyes, and sometimes goes by the name Antonio
Arellano, police said. He has "Francisco" tattooed on his stomach.

Estella Arias is 5 feet 2 inches tall and 130 pounds, and has black
hair and brown eyes. She is known to sometimes use the name Estella
Zamora, and has a tattoo of a flower on her left leg, police said.
