Midland, Texas - A Midland teenage girl is missing and her family and police are asking for your help.

17-year-old Silvia Cardenas was dropped off at the bus stop on the morning of December 7th but never arrived at school.


She is a Hispanic female, last seen wearing a pink long sleeve shirt, blue
jeans, pink slip on tennis shoes and carrying a large white purse.

She may be in the company of Hector Anaya-Pedroza, a 37-year-old Hispanic
man. He may be driving a blue 1997 Ford Taurus with tinted windows and
Texas license plate PLM-334.

MIDLAND COUNTY - The Midland County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing girl.
Authorities say 17-year-old Silvia Esmeralda Cardenas did not return
home from school on Monday, December 7, 2009. Investigators also say
she did not attend school that day. Cardenas was last seen by her
parents when they dropped her off at the bus stop.
She may be in the company of 38-year-old Hector Anaya-Pedroza in a
blue 1997 Ford Taurus with tinted windows and Texas plates PLM-334.
Cardenas is a Hispanic female. She was last seen wearing a pink long

Midland County Sheriff's Office deputies are asking for help in
trying to locate a teenage girl who went missing last week after she
was dropped off at a school bus stop and never returned home.

Authorities
said Silvia Esmeralda Cardenas, 17, was last seen Dec. 7, after her
parents dropped her off to wait for the bus. Investigators later
learned Cardenas never attended school that day.

Her family reported her missing that same day around 7 p.m. when she failed to return home after school.

Cardenas
is described as a Hispanic female who was last seen wearing a pink
long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, pink slip-on tennis shoes and carrying a
large white purse.

Investigators believe she may be in the
company of Hector Anaya-Pedroza, a 38-year-old former coworker of her
father. MCSO Investigator Tom Hunnicutt said the family told him the
last time Anaya-Pedroza and Cardenas were around each other was in
August but think he still might be in touch with her.

A volunteer at Midland High School said the school is concerned
about a student missing since Dec. 7, and the Midland County Sheriff’s
Office has contacted the National Center for Missing and Exploited
Children in an effort to find her.

windows and Texas license plates of PLM-334. The family moved from
Corpus Christi to Midland last fall, Hooks said.

Investigator
Tom Hunnicutt said the sheriff’s office has contacted the National
Center for Missing and Exploited Children to try and find Cardenas.
Hunnicutt said Anay-Pedroza may be harder to find than Cardenas because
he is an undocumented immigrant and previously has been deported.

Hunnicutt
said the county typically has teenagers go missing for a couple of days
but then return home. There was one adult woman, 39-year-old Pamela
June McDonald, reported missing April 5, 2009 who has not turned up, he
said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cardenas or
Anaya-Pedroza are urged to call the Midland County Sheriff’s Office at

ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is now involved in the investigation.

They are working with the sheriff's department at the US-Mexico border in case the two attempt to cross the border.

Investigators are still not confirming whether Cardenas went with Pedroza willingly,
but say she sent an e-mail to her mother around the time she
disappeared, saying "she was fine."

MIDLAND COUNTY A Midland County teenager has been found unharmed after being reported missing more than two months ago.
Silvia Cardenas’ parents reported the 17-year-old missing after she
did not come home after school Dec. 7, 2009. A Midland County Sheriff’s
Office said the girl was located in Oklahoma Cityat 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Spencer Police Department and Oklahoma City Police Department
assisted the Midland Sheriff’s Office in locating Cardenas. Her parents
have been notified.

A 17-year-old Midland County girl missing for two months was
found to be in good condition in Oklahoma City on Tuesday afternoon by
local police.

Silvia Esmeralda Cardenas, a Midland High student,
was located around 1:30 p.m. by officers with the Spencer and Oklahoma
City Police Departments, who helped assist the Midland County Sheriff's
Office.

Investigators said they were able to locate the missing teen after a tip from someone in Corpus Christi helped law enforcement.

Cardenas
went missing on Dec. 7 after she was dropped off at the bus stop by her

Midland County investigators contacted the National Center for Missing
and Exploited Children to try to locate Cardenas. They believed at the
