"You're absolutely sure without a doubt?" Vieira asked.

"I'm sure," Lyon responded.

"Based on?" Vieira said.

Lyon responded, "There's not even any evidence that this was a homicide, let alone any evidence tying her to it."

This comment tells us exactly what the defense are going to do IMO. When specifically asked what she bases her assertions on that Casey didn't kill her kid, she only said there is no evidence. She didn't say anything about having another wild story that will be revealed in court that will point to someone else. I think their strategy is only going to be to challenge the evidence and keep harping on to the jury about the lack of evidence to even prove a murder was committed, let alone who was there when Caylee died. Baez used to say they had a big reveal coming at the trial. It looks like they've abandoned that rhetoric. Sure, they will still throw a few other people at the jury to try to make a point that someone else could have done it - that there's no evidence either way. Also, I'm no analyst but referring to Caylee as "her kid", to me means Lyons has distanced herself from Caylee and to me that means she wants to make herself feel better about defending her client who she probably knows has killed a beautiful little child. She's 100% focused on Casey and Caylee has become the abstract of "her kid". I guess that explains how defense attorneys can defend guilty clients. They dehumanize the victim.
