Unnamed Female Relatives - 9 and 13 yo - Murrieta CA

MURRIETA - A 33-year-old Hemet man was found guilty today of molesting two relatives -- both girls, 9 and 13 -- in his home.

The jury deliberated about two hours before convicting Anthony Eugene
Carraher of two counts of committing lewd acts with force, violence or
duress; two counts of engaging in oral copulation or sexual penetration
with a child
under 10; one count each of sexual intercourse or sodomy
with a child under 10; and engaging in three or more sex acts with a
child.
The jury, which got the case Monday afternoon, also found true an allegation that he molested more than one victim.

Carraher faces 85 years to life when he is sentenced on Feb. 9.

The case came to light when the 13-year-old told her father that
Carraher molested her in his home in the 42000 block of Seal Rock
Court, according to preliminary hearing testimony in March.
The girl said she slept at Carraher's home in December
2008 -- in the same bed as the suspect, his wife and the couple's
3-year-old niece -- and awoke to find him molesting her.
She said he put her hand on his genitalia and made her fondle him for about 10 minutes, according to testimony.

In addition to calling authorities, the father called his brother, who
lives in Henderson, Nev., and the brother questioned his 9-year-old
daughter.
When asked by her father if Carraher had ever touched
her, the 9-year-old said, "Why, is he doing it to someone else too?''
sheriff's Detective Steve Fredericks testified.
The 9-year-old told authorities that Carraher had
touched her every time she visited him and his wife between July 2007
and July 2008, and that he committed sex acts with her.
Carraher threatened her family, the child said.

The defendant, who had been free on $1 million bail, was taken into custody once the verdicts were announced.
