Tempe Police are looking for a 14-year-old boy who ran away from school on Wednesday
afternoon near Broadway Road and Mill Avenue, authorities said.
Ian Johns was last seen leaving McKemy Middle School
around 3 p.m.


Ian takes prescription medications and is on a prescribed
diet because he suffers from severe behavioral disorders, said Molly
Enright, the spokeswoman for the Tempe Police in a press release.
Ian can become a danger to himself and others without his
medications. He has become aggressive towards law enforcement or
authorities in the past due to his disabilities, Enright said.
Ian is 5 feet tall, 100 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a turquoise shirt, tan pants, brown belt and white Vans tennis shoes.

shirt, tan pants, brown belt and brown and white Vans tennis shoes.

Police say the teen has had run ins with law enforcement in the past and suffers from diagnosed severe behavioral disorders.

According
to Enright, Johns takes medication for the disorders and could become a
danger to himself or others if he doesn't take his medicine.

They say the teen may be using public transportation, including the neighborhood Orbit bus system, as a way of getting around.
